The 2023–24 CONCACAF Champions League is the 59th season of North America's premier club football tournament organised by CONCACAF, and the 16th season since it was renamed from the Champions Cup to the CONCACAF Champions League.

The final will be played at Lower.com Field in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The winners of the 2023–24 CONCACAF Champions League will automatically qualify for the 2024–25 CONCACAF Champions League group stage, earn the right to play against the winners of the 2023–24 CONCACAF SuperLiga in the 2024 CONCACAF Super Cup, and also enter the 32-team 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

UANL are the defending champions.

Association team allocation[edit]

A total of 78 teams from 53 of the 55 UEFA member associations are set to participate in the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League (the exceptions being Liechtenstein,[Note LIE] which does not organise a domestic league and Russia[Note RUS]). The association ranking based on the UEFA association coefficients is used to determine the number of participating teams for each association:[1]

Association ranking[edit]

For the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League, the associations are allocated places according to their 2022 UEFA association coefficients, which takes into account their performance in European competitions from 2017–18 to 2021–22.[2] The team allocation reflects Russia's ongoing suspension from UEFA competitions.

Apart from the allocation based on the association coefficients, associations may have additional teams (a maximum of 5 per association) participating in the Champions League, as noted below:

United States (USA): The third-placed MLS team, CF Montréal, cannot qualify for CONCACAF competitions through Major League Soccer, but instead through the Canadian Championship, therefore the fourth-placed MLS finisher, Austin FC, took Montreal's place.
  2. ^
Mexico (MEX): The 2022–23 CONCACAF Champions League winners, UANL qualified automatically for the 2023–24 Champions League for winning last year's edition. Therefore, the highest aggregate team to not already qualify, Monterrey, took UANL's spot.
