I must of course apologise at once for the choice of name. This is meant to be a pun on the Swedish smorgasboard and the usual orgasm but doesn't quite carry it off. Too late to change it now.

I mainly take an interest in all things British and in particular BBC Radio 4, UK politics, history of the British Isles and the like.

I am fairly new to Wikipedia and still learning the ropes, so I am hoping to avoid too many fights and bad temper outbreaks - if I have upset you, consider this an apology here and now. Please try to be tolerant if I screw up and if you need to correct me or put me right, please do it in a reasoned and civilised way. We British are so very keen on good manners. Thank you!
