Hi, I'm Sonia. I'm an architect and urban researcher with an interest in urban heritage and the recovery of post-war historic cities. I did my masters degree on post-war recovery of World Heritage cities in Syria, and for the last 10 years I've work as a conservation architect at the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums in Syria. I also teach at Damascus University on topics relevant to historic preservation.
I'm now a student at Padua University, and have enrolled in the course Wikipedia:GLAM/UNIPD/Digital History, so I created this page as my first exercise.
I'm new to Wikipedia, but I am hoping to learn how to merge academic knowledge into articles. Should anything I do here relate directly to my work, I will of course, declare any conflict of interest I might have. I'm bound to make a few mistakes at first, so please let me know on my talk page if you have any concerns about my editing so that we can work to improve this encyclopedia in the best way possible.
