Here is the current context on the matter:

Online leaks

In the week prior to its release, a number of texts purporting to be genuine leaks appeared in a number of forms. On July 16, a set of photographs, claimed to be all 759 pages of the US edition, were leaked to the internet,[61] appearing on websites and peer-to-peer networks, leading Scholastic to seek a subpoena in order to identify one source.[62] Scholastic described the content of the texts as "convincing" but refused to comment on their authenticity, noting only that several texts had conflicting content, with a similar reaction from the publishers.[63] If proven to be a genuine leak, it would be the most serious security breach in the Harry Potter series' history.[64]

One issue that has come up in objecting to the page scans is that the book is supposed to have 784 pages, whereas the last printed page number in the leak is 759. However, upon doing some research, I've found that all those "extra pages" (dedications, TOC, blank pages, about the author, etc.) count toward the grand page total as well. For instance, see the paperback edition of Chamber of Secrets; it has an offical page count of 752, which turns out to be 741 numbered pages and 11 extras.

I just did a count of all the extra pages in the leak, and it does add up to 784. Also worth mentioning is that I have read the entire link, and I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe that it is fanfic. If it is fanfic, the writer is quite honestly at least as good a writer as Rowling.

The New York Times has a review of it out, and unless the author of the leak (the picture leak) managed somehow to guess exactly what the deathly hallows was without any hints whatsoever, the leak is definitely genuine.
