British colonial architecture, parkland in the inner city along Sarawak River with its river junks ( taxis), Chinese owned and operated specialty shops, Sarawak State Mosque, Tua Pek Kong Chinese Tao Temple, The Hindu Temple of Sarawak, The Ethnographic Museum , The Islamic Museum, Chinese History Museum.
  • In Mulu National Park , hinterland about 500km East from Kuching:
The rainforest walk, cave exploration covering Clearwater, Wind, Lang and Deer Caves, each one a worldclass wonder.
  • In general:
long-boat cruising on fast flowing wilderness rivers, indigenous culture showcased to tourists in longhouse native accommodation and in arts and craft markets, wildlife watching.
