Monaco National football team

The Monaco national football team is the team which represents the country of Monaco, and is part of Monégasque Football Federation. The team used to play it’s home matches at the Louis II Stadium, but due to renovations that will continue until mid-2024, They will play their matches at the Stade Didier Deschamps. The Monégasque football federation was established in 1975, but the national team wasn’t created until 1985. After being rejected twice from UEFA, they officially became a member in 1987, and became a member of FIFA in 1988. They played their first match in 16 November 1988, a friendly against Belgium which ended in a 3-0 defeat.

Monaco made their first appearance in the UEFA Microcup in 2010, they were the lowest ranked side in the competition, and they lost their first game 1–0 vs. the champions of the Competition, Cyprus.

Monaco then became regulars in the competition, featuring in the next 6 editions of the competition, and winning their first title in 2016; after beating the Reigning champions, Faroe Islands 2–0 in the final, after losing to them in the previous final in 2014, and it became the first silverware for the double colors.
