These regular meetups of St. Louis area Wikipedia editors are a place for sharing lessons and asking questions about contributing to Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects.

Past topics have included progress on Wikipedia articles about the region, reviewing the status of the St. Louis WikiProject, and identifying knowledge gaps in current articles.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP below. If you have something you'd like to discuss in the meeting, feel free to add it to the agenda below.

Event information[edit]

We'll gather for an hour and aim to keep the group presentations short. See the info box above for logistics information. Attendance is free.

If you'd like to edit at the meeting, please bring an appropriate device—laptop, tablet, etc.

Parking[edit]

There is free parking at Venture Café after 3 pm in the visitor parking lot, the surface lot on Duncan Avenue, and at another surface lot at the corner of Sarah St. and Duncan Ave. There is also metered parking on the street.

Public transportation[edit]

Take either MetroLink line to the Cortex MetroLink station. Venture Café is directly across the street.

Finding the room[edit]

Upon arrival into the Cortex building continue back all the way to the elevator and go to the second floor, where the Chuck Berry Room is to the right of the elevators.

Bonus: Venture Cafe[edit]

Our hosts invite us to attend Venture Cafe as part of their space donation. The cafe, to the left of the elevators, will be pretty clear due to the big mass of people. After you check in at the front desk that is across the atrium from the elevators, you are allowed up to three free drinks.

What to expect[edit]

This event is aimed at bringing together the Wikipedians in the St. Louis area and to discuss editing Wikipedia. The event is guided by seasoned Wikipedians, so please do not be shy.

Although no Wikipedia editing experience necessary, this event won't be a full tutorial to getting started. If you're interested in something like that, look through our upcoming meetups for an edit party.

Agenda[edit]

Have something you'd like to add? Put it in "sharing," "ask for help," or "tell folks about an event" below, whichever is most appropriate. Please include links to any relevant Wikimedia pages, websites, or slide decks. During the meeting, be succinct so that interested folks can follow up during chat & edit.
