I used to think Wikipedia was a silly idea, until every Google search came back with a Wikipedia entry. It was so useful, that I would occasionally skip Google and manually type a Wikipedia URL. For example, once I wanted to know about the legendary taoist Lao Tzu, so I typed in http://en.wikipedia.com/wiki/Lao_Tzu and arrived at the Lao Tzu page. Then came one fateful day where I googled for a subject (dBZ_(meteorology)) and I couldn't find a Wikipedia entry on it! So I became a Wikipedian and assembled an article. I'm not even a meteorologist!
