The Theosophical Fellowship was established by Ananda Tara Shan in 1994 as a new concept flowing from the Theosophical traditions. The core theme was to establish a new impulse, which is one of working from the heart for the service of humanity, guided by a new stream from the Lord Maitreya.

The Theosophical Fellowship was established by Ananda Tara Shan as a new impulse for the streams flowing from the Theosophical traditions. This organisation evolved out of Shan the Rising Light which was established in Copenhagen in 1977. Anada Tara Shan migrated to Australia and set up the Society for Maitreya Theosophy in 1991 and then followed on with establishment of the Theosophical Fellowship in 1994.
Under the umbrella of the The Theosophical fellowship two other Organisations were created: The Society for Maitreya Theosophy and Heart Flow Worldwide.
