Go Boy's Sundust was a Tennessee Walking Horse stallion who won the World Grand Championship in 1967.

Life and career[edit]

Go Boy's Sundust was bred by Joe Raines and foaled in April 1960 near Birmingham, Alabama. His sire was Merry Go Boy and his dam was Sun Dust Silhouette.[1] He was sent to Tennessee to be trained under saddle by Red Nix. As a three-year-old he returned to Alabama to be shown by Dave Peebles of Decatur. He was also ridden and shown by Bud Dunn of Florence.

In 1967 Go Boy's Sundust was moved to Doug Wolaver's stable in Cornersville, Tennessee. Wolaver entered him in the Celebration for his fifth try, and won the World Grand Championship. He was Wolaver's third winner of the Big Stake.[2]
