Jamie Lawrence is a Racking Horse trainer from Vinemont, Alabama.

Life and career[edit]

Lawrence was born September 15, 1972. He began showing horses at age eight, after his father, Doyce Lawrence, bought a horse for $500. He later worked for several trainers in the Cullman and Marshall County areas, including Larry Latham, Campbell and Statham. He and his wife Connie have three daughters, Morgan, Madison and Mackenzie. In 2010 Lawrence won the World Grand Championship on Jose's Pushover.[1] The following year he was riding a horse in a show when it fell on him, breaking his leg and chipping a bone in his spine.[2] In 2011, two horses Lawrence trained won high-point awards.[3] In 2016 Lawrence won the World Grand Championship with Tears.[4]
