Introduction to my topic (practise paragraph)[edit]

The Wikipedia Stub I have selected to edit is Saudi Australians, focusing on the migration and experience of Saudi Arabians in Australia. In order to create an accurate and effective Wikipedia article on Saudi Australians I will need to first include a detailed background of Saudi immigration to Australia. This will be my first section and give readers a historical context in which to understand the current status of Saudi Australians. Next, I intend to add a more general section on Middle Eastern Immigration to Australia. Again, I believe that this is important contextual information to inform readers about the large number of Middle Eastern migrants and refugees who choose to move to Australia. Interestingly, Wikipedia does not currently have an article about the Middle Eastern diaspora, which is why I have chosen to include it within my article. In my initial research about Saudi Arabians moving to and living in Australia, I noticed that the majority of people who migrate are students. For this reason, my next section will focus on Saudi Students in Australia. This section will include statistics of students, what they choose to study and also their experience of Australian University. My fourth and final section will focus on Saudi Arabian Refugees who are fleeing persecution. I noticed in my research that there were a number of Saudi women in particular who are seeking asylum in Australia to escape the oppressive Saudi laws and legislation. This section would include an overview of factors that lead individuals to flee Saudi Arabia, along with their experience and reception here in Australia.
