Hi. I'm a linguist.

Yachay is a Quichua (The Ecuadorian variety of Quechua) word meaning sabiduría (Spanish) or 'knowledge'. Since the name was already taken and I always have mental block while staring at the "Create Username" section of any form, I just added the Quichua plural marker -kuna to the end of the word. Yachaykuna probably means sabidurías (the plural of knowledge). The name is not meant to be pompous (as I do not hold the answers to anything - science is overwhelmingly more gradient than concrete - especially in my field), I was just thinking along the lines of a suitable name for Wiki, which provides open source 'knowledge' to the 31% of the world's population (those that have access to the internet). I will end this here before I begin ranting.
