Thank you for that information LuckyLouie. I appreciate you taking the time the provide it.

I stumbled across the grey alien article while researching an entirely different topic - but was immediately struck by the arrant nonsense that is presented. I am not sure about becoming a registered user - unless I suddenly find time to whip Wikipedia into shape as some sort of fact based encyclopedia - instead of the purveyor of often misleading, and in the case of grey aliens article at least, downright false information. As an academic scientist, the standard is a sore disappointment to me, not a surprise mind you, as I have for some time instructed my students to shun Wikipedia at all costs and research the ORIGINAL SOURCES - in fact citing Wikipedia will lose my students marks. At this point I am not even sure Wikipedia can be saved from itself, such is the political nature of the entrenched disinformation and misinformation contained within it (Yes, I can cite you chapter and verse if you want - you know I can - but let's stick with the grey aliens for now shall we? 116.240.144.209 (talk) 06:02, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like you’re WP:NOTHERE to build an encyclopedia, however I hope you’ll decide to embrace Wikipedia’s editorial policies. We have a number of editors who are scientists, educators, and academics who came here with the same complaints and misgivings as you, and chose to “work within the system”. - LuckyLouie (talk) 14:50, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
