August 2017[edit]

Hello. Please do not enter fictional tennis rankings into articles, like you did at Andy Murray. Tennis rankings are only updated on Monday (and not every Monday). there is no Wednesday or Thursday ranking change on the ATP. You always have to check the official rankings before you update them on Wikipedia (never change them ahead of time, no projected. "live" rankings here). Thanks.—J. M. September 2017[edit]

Warning icon Last warning: Stop adding fictional tennis rankings to articles. On 6 September, you cannot add a 13 September ranking, as you have been doing in a huge number of articles today. First, Wikipedia does not have a time machine. Second, why Wednesday 13 September? The date does not make any sense. The rankings will be updated on Monday 11 September. The rankings are always updated on Monday. You always have to wait for the official rankings. No updates from the future. If you do not stop your disruptive editing, you will be reported and blocked from editing.—J. M. (talk) 16:03, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Nick Lindahl, you may be blocked from editing. This was a deliberate change to something untrue. Do not do this again Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:30, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. —J. M. (talk) 08:44, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

For the last time: There are no live rankings in tennis. Your "source" is an anonymous fansite that has absolutely no relevance, it is only an unofficial calculation purely for fans' interest. It has no official status whatsoever (and their calculations are often wrong). Tennis rankings are made by the ATP, not by anonymous fansites that have nothing to do with the ATP. The official ATP rankings are only updated on Monday. There are no other updates than the official ATP updates. The ATP rankings are the only source for tennis rankings. If you do not stop your premature ranking updates, you will be blocked again and the block will be longer this time.—J. M. (talk) 12:39, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.
