Disambiguation link notification for March 19[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Garowe Principles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ASWJ (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Template[edit]

Hi 26oo. What you do think of a new Puntland topics template, in the model of the Somaliland topics regional template [1]? Best regards, Middayexpress (talk) 14:47, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Great. I'll come up with an iteration shortly and link you to it. Cheers, Middayexpress (talk) 14:06, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

SAF structure[edit]

Hi 26oo. As one of the more active and knowledgeable contributors in WikiProject Somalia, would you mind taking a look at this discussion on the Somali Armed Forces' structure? An editor has cited some old qabil-related charges from the ICG back when Matt Bryden was still affiliated with it. He also claims that there is no formal structure or branches to the Somali Armed Forces, and suggested in some of his earlier remarks that the country was still in the transitional period. There also other issues of undue weight. Your input here would be greatly appreciated. Best, Middayexpress (talk)

Waraabe[edit]

By the way, did you hear about Faisal Ali Warabe's son being arrested on terrorism charges while departing from Hargeisa [3]? What do you make of it? Cheers, Middayexpress (talk) 18:13, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Amina[edit]

Hi 26oo. Would you happen to know which Dhulbahante town Amina Mohamed's family originally comes from? Best, Middayexpress (talk) 18:48, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Heads up[edit]

Hi 26oo. A username has just tried to place undue weight on terrorism and other negative issues on the Somali American page. This is despite the noted sharp drop in such activity [4]. Most tellingly, the material was also in part sourced to an unreliable partisan website (c.f. [5]). Given this, would you mind keeping an eye on the page? Best, Middayexpress (talk) 13:43, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 26oo. Would you mind taking a looking at the Puntland Maritime Police Force, Transitional Federal Government, Corruption in Somalia, Galmudug, Khatumo State and Jubaland pages? Hussein Samatar copyright problems[edit]

Hi, 26oo!

Thanks for starting the article on Hussein Samatar. I've been wondering whether anyone would, considering Samatar's importance in Minneapolis and further afield. In any case, a lot of the article may be have some serious copyright violations as it seems that you've taken chunks (even paragraphs) of text from the sources you cited and inserted them verbatim into the article's body. (The third paragraph of the Biography section appears to be a direct cut-and-paste of the ADC source, for example.) With this level of copyright violation, the article is at risk of deletion. However, you can salvage it by rewriting the facts of the article without using the same phrasing as your sources. I did this with the first paragraph of the Biography section, as can be seen here, and I'd be happy to give you any help I could in rewriting it.

The article Hussein Shire has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. m8e39 10:35, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
