Note

Do note that any user, regardless of whether they have admin status or not, can issue warnings to any other user. It is not only administrators who can issue warnings. The fact that these templates are available to use to users is proof that they are not only for admins to issue. See WP:Warnings. Of course, to be blocked, said user would have to report you to an admin noticeboard or admin themselves, which frequently happens if a user's behaviour is seen to be disruptive in some way. @Ss112: It's interesting to know that Wikipedia apparently has the strange policy of allowing people to use templates implying administrative authority and threatening to block users despite having no power or authority to block anyone, but since the user has apologized and admitted that his usage of the template was improper, as they and other editors have agreed that my edits were in good faith and the consensus seems to be that my language was indeed preferable, I don't know that the clarification has much effect, but I appreciate it regardless for future consideration. 47.134.137.119 (talk) 16:07, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
