April 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm NonsensicalSystem. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jonas Mekas, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! NonsensicalSystem(error?)(.log) 09:10, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Editing biases[edit]

Hello,

I noticed that the IP address 66.65.110.16 has been continually changing some of the edits I've done in the Jonas Mekas page. I wanted to provide this space to discuss this a little bit more -- in my opinion, this is a debate that is in no way settled and whose significance is still debated in the art and film world. Wikipedia should allow for both of the sides of the controversy to be shown without disavowing Casper's findings, which were substantially researched and accepted by academics and film critics alike. What the IP address 66.65.110.16 has been doing disavows academic research, almost as if it wanted to construct a new story, without engaging in a fair debate.

I'm very open to discussing this! Just wanted to clarify my edits and create a platform for debate.
