September 2021[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Although you apparently weren't warned before like you should have been, see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/3RRArchive439#User:93.138.63.81_reported_by_User:FDW777_(Result:_Warned).

I refer you to the admin comment by User:EdJohnston, Result: User:93.138.63.81 is warned. They may be blocked the next time they try to add the term 'Pyrrhic victory' to the infobox of the article on a battle unless they have obtained a prior consensus in their favor on the talk page. The current wording of WP:MILMOS#INFOBOX advises against the use of the 'Pyrrhic' terminology in infoboxes. FDW777 (talk) 10:04, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people, as you did at Talk:Siege of Szigetvár. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. I've left a more in-depth comment at the relevant talk page; but if you persist, then you're just digging your own hole. It is important that he did not personally attack me by falsely accusing me, but you do not see this because I am unimportant to you IP. 93.136.115.120 (talk) 12:37, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
  • Stop attacking me on my talk page. I formally request you do not make any further posts there. If you feel I'm wrong, you can always go dig your own hole at WP:ANI. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 13:33, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just gave you back the same thing you wrote me, if you consider it an attack on your site then admit that you attacked my site. 93.136.115.120 (talk) 13:39, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. FDW777 (talk) 10:18, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Block[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for personal attacks or violations of the harassment policy. Hours after my highly-favourable close at WP:AN3 [#User:93.136.115.120 reported by User:FDW777 (etc.)], to which you did not respond, subpar conduct persisted, still. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thanks, I knew I had an irrelevant IP here, whether I was right or not. Now they can erase Pir's victory that was there for 15 years, injustice is injustice. Goodbye 93.136.115.120 (talk) 13:54, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I actually lean toward your position RE: pyrrhic victory in the infobox, at least in the sense that for cases where it might be especially pronounced, that would be a legit position to take (i.e. overbearing WP:MOS enforcement). But you going about advancing that argument also with personal attacks and incivility is exactly what you were warned against. Making this out to be a matter of tenure/seniority/being an IP is unconvincing. El_C 14:01, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They will change it just out of spite of me. On the page Talk:Battle_of_Vukovar it is nicely explained that this is impossible if there is a source that it was Pir's victory, and I have shown it here. Pir’s victory tells the reader that the battle was not won easily, and that is essential. I will no longer argue or answer their questions. Goodbye 93.136.115.120 (talk) 14:11, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, obviously, you're free to withdraw rather than engage the dispute in a matter of fact manner. But I would submit that this choice lies with and is on you. El_C 14:45, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
