Audition Music for BB7[edit]

Can you please explain to me why you removed the audition music for each of the housemates? Triangle e 14:26, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's not notible information. -- 9cds(talk) 14:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, it's both non-notable, and uninteresting... --LorianTC 15:37, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Whether something is "interesting" or not is an objective statement. I, personally, find this information interesting. Otherwise, I would not have added it. Triangle e 21:00, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Um, do you mind taking your fights off my talk page? -- 9cds(talk) 21:01, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is not a fight and you calling it as such makes it no more a fight. I am merely pointing out the objective nature of what makes an article "interesting". Triangle e 21:52, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

pfft[edit]

Just a pointer that I didn't start an edit war. --JD[talk|email] 16:58, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BB7 Nominations Border[edit]

Although it was decided that a border might make it clearer as you pointed out on the talk page, Trampikey removed it because "i don't like it and its not needed!", which i agree with. However, you didn't revert his edit, only mine. Please stop being spiteful and readding it when I delete it for the same reason as Trampikey. It does look ridiculous and is rather pointless. All one needs to do is to go to the bottom of the table and glance across to see who's up for relocation to the new house or go and see the housemate box on the BB7 page.

Sorry for rambling on. Basically my point is that in my opinion, the border is not needed, looks stupid and Trampikey agrees with me. Also, that you didn't revert Trampikey's edit, only mine. Because it's me?? And finally, you put me up for the 3RR, when you're just as bad... Thanx :) Ellisjm 17:54 UTC 28 June 06

I warned you against 3RR because you're reverting it constantly. If you dislike it, then please take it to the talk page, rather than taking it to an edit war. -- 9cds(talk) 17:52, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Why didn't you take it to the talk page? It started off without a border, so you were the one that made the change. Ellism 18:01 UTC 28 June 06
It's already on the talk page. -- 9cds(talk) 18:04, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Discussion is a Good Thing :) Mind you, I don't feel like blocking more people for 3RR tonight though, so please refrain from reverting. If there's a consensus, there are other people to make those edits as well. --JoanneB 21:02, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, to add some spice to this, it was originally my idea to do this boldification (:-)) to make the page clearer. There's a discussion going on right now on the Talk page which seems to be swinging (slightly) towards the idea of making the nominations clearer (e.g. by boldifying the cell!). Please don't go on at cds about it too much, it's all my fault after all, she was just being sympathetic to my ideas! Budgiekiller 21:06, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hurrah![edit]

Hey, just a quick note to you to say that (despite you going off on one once!) I'm really glad you're persevering and doing a good job around here! Let me know if there's anything I can help with (now and in the future). Budgiekiller 21:25, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, only just swa this. Thanks for your comments :) -- 9cds(talk) 19:51, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem, you're a proper busy bee! Budgiekiller 20:03, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help please?[edit]

I would like this to be my signature: Trampikey (talk to me)(contribs)

(Code: Trampik<font color="green">e</font>y (talk to me)(contribs))

But when I copy and paste that into "Signature" on my preferences, it doesn't work... can you help? Trampikey 23:27, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have 'raw signature' selected? -- 9cds(talk) 23:40, 29 June 2006 (UTC) (As an added note, I'm not sure how well people will take to an RfA link in a signature)[reply]
OK, I've removed the RfA... and I don't have the raw signature selected... Trampikey 00:45, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Try selecting it :) -- 9cds(talk) 00:46, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks... testing... Trampikey (talk to me)(contribs) 01:07, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to have worked :) Glad to be of assistance! -- 9cds(talk) 01:10, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA[edit]

Hi, thanks for all your questions on my RfA! I'm enjoying answering them! Trampikey (talk to me)(contribs) 01:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This one's for you,[edit]

guy 02:08, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it. Hang in there. --Pilot|guy 02:08, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RFA thanks[edit]

Listing RFCs[edit]

Please remember when you list an RFC to add the date and time by writing ~~~~~ at the end. I have done so for the RFC you already listed. Stifle (talk) 11:21, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, thanks for letting me know, and fixing it. -- 9cds(talk) 11:23, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar[edit]

Hey cds, thank you very much for the barnstar!! I hope the bot continues to function correctly for the duration of the election so there aren't any embarrassing muck-ups :) Cheers, and thanks again, Tangotango 15:20, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Hi. I have long been a member of WP:ESP. The thing is that I changed my username from User:Anirudhsbh / Andy123 to User:Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington / Nearly Headless Nick. So please put back my votes. Thanks and regards, --Nearly Headless Nick 09:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid I can't - only users on the memberlist linked to can vote. May I suggest you log into your other account to vote? -- 9cds(talk) 09:01, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copy Vio's[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Speedy_deletions#Following_Group_of_Images Ste4k

Thanks for letting me know about these :) -- 9cds(talk) 17:54, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure that I listed them correctly; i.e. on the correct page. I don't dare put a copyvio on the BB page. I'm not really sure who to inform about this, so relying on your experience. The list is there, anyhow, so it should be easy to copy to the correct place. Ste4k 02:47, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think I found the right instructions. I followed those but am still not sure if I listed them correctly. Ste4k 03:26, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you need to put a notice on the page - I think what you've done is right (though, I'm not extremely experienced with images) - You've at least given clear reasons for deletion, which is the most important thing! -- 9cds(talk) 03:39, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cello's sig[edit]

Sure, it just made me suspicious that it was a fake vote, so I just added it back in so other users checking the results wouldn't have the same problem. Titoxd(?!?) 17:39, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, yes. Nope, it's not fake. Sorry for inconvenience there :) -- 9cds(talk) 17:40, 9 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Annoying thing[edit]

Don't you find it annoying when some unknown person keeps adding things which are not wanted? Btw are you an administrator? Alex9891 15:17, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah - it's annoying that they don't get the hint. Unfortunatly, the user was on AOL so a block wouldn't do much good. Thanks for your help in removing the spam. I'm not an administrator, no, which is also annoying ;) -- 9cds(talk) 15:23, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, AOL is so irritating, I mean, why change the IP with EVERY page visit? I like the my my ISP handles dynamic IPs, your IP only changes if you are disconnected for more than a couple of days (which very rarely happens), so my IP is effectively static. Love it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lorian (talkcontribs)
Yeah - every ISP apart from AOL work like that ;) -- 9cds(talk) 15:37, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm surprised, I thought you were an administrator! If there is another request for you to become one, you'll get my support. --Alex9891 (talk) 18:34, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uh, 9cds has been permanently banned... --LorianTC 19:03, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Uh, lol oh well --Alex9891 (talk) 19:08, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Attacks[edit]

Please don't make personal attacks on other users ([1]), it may backfire on you - Be aware of wikilawyering. Have a nice day :) ellisjm 12:15, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This user has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, per ruling of administrators, Jimbo Wales and/or the Arbitration Committee. See block log.

Explanation for block: This user has repeatedly asked to be blocked herself (mostly on IRC) and has crossed a final line by this edit. In the past she has vandalised several pages in order to get blocked, so I guess it's time to let her have her way. Other admins: please contact me before unblocking. I have used the new block options to limit or prevent collateral damage and will be watching for autoblocks. --JoanneB 20:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sigh.[edit]

May the sun shine down upon you and your weather be peaceful as you look within yourself and decide what is best for you, and you alone.

Well, you perservered, but this seems to be the best course of action for you. See you on IRC hopefully, best of luck to you.. --Pilotguy (roger that) 01:07, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! You will be greatly remembered for your work on WP:BIGBRO. FireSpike 06:44, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother template[edit]

Is your opinion on the template (Big Brother housemates) that the old scheme (colour covers name) should be reinstated, instead of this new scheme that JD UK has created. I feel that he has not been fair and has been following the suggestions of the WikiProject. If your opinion is the same as mine, can you help me and revert the infobox back to its original look? I'm bad at working with templates. Thanks for the help! Geoking66 04:12, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

9cds has gone forever, she can't help you now. -- AnemoneProjectors (talk) 10:09, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Assertion of use of actors and production company control on 'Don't Forget Your Toothbrush'[edit]

You removed my contribution and asked for sources.. no can do (I work in TV!). Hearing/seeing something in a production company or TV station with my own eyes is not citable, but this sort of thing is fairly normal in TV land - not everything you see is real (it seldom is). I also added the factoid to the £50k bribe to a former contestant in Big Brother series 6 (coincedantally, I know both the contestant in question and many staff on the show) - he never knew about the plot until well after the show when I couldn't keep it from him any longer. More recently, the people used in the recent first episode of Ant & Dec's gameshow of 'PokerFace' were actors (though this was done to reduce the possibility the show flopped). I know it's not citable, but surely an encyclopedia should pay due reference to the fact that not all TV is 'as real' as it seems? I've been a contributor in front of camera in 'reality' TV too, and the number of times you have to do things 3 or 4 times is just obscene, but now I work behind the camera, so know that there are very good reasons! Bigpinkthing 15:38, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

9cds has been banned and can't respond, so I will. To put it bluntly, one of the main rules here is verifibility over truth. So you can't put that sort of information in. --LorianTC 15:45, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's a pity, but also fair! I think I'll have a search around in the general area of TV and prompt some discussion over the inclusion of some more general information about 'fixing', etc - that'll be more productive. Thanks Bigpinkthing 15:55, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well if you can find a reliable source for it then feel free to put it in, but otherwise it is in violation of both WP:V and WP:NOR. Have a nice day. --LorianTC 15:59, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good Riddance[edit]

9cds abused his power and, as far as I am conderned was very "annoying" (if he reads this he'll know what I am reffering to). Apparently, he wasn't mature enough to do this. aido2002 03:10, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
