Welcome to Wikipedia. I hate welcoming someone by telling them a bunch of rules, but there are a few things you need to know. You can edit a semi-protected article yourself if you wait four days and make ten edits (including talk pages). You can also use the {{edit semi-protected}} template if you need to make the change sooner, but you need to describe the change to a 'please change X to Y' degree of detail and provide reliable sources for any facts. (You need the sources regardless of whether you use the template or not, but you are less likely to get challenged on it if you make the change yourself.)
You also probably need to register under a different user name. There are policies about user names which include a prohibition on group or role names except under certain circumstances.
