With reference to your recent edit to the article, the Karambar Lake is located in Ghizer District of Gilgit Baltistan, Ishkoman is a tehsil of Ghizer District. Please see two reliable references this and this.

I did some research and it shows that there is a Karomber Lake in KP, which probably you are referring to, but apart from blogs I haven't found any reliable reference for it. Maybe these are two different lakes. Anyways, I am reverting your last edit since the article is about the lake located in Ishkoman. Samar (Talk . Contributions) 19:58, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

Also in your contributions I have seen you add statements such as 'the most beautiful', 'place of great beauty', 'lush green'. Please note that such references should always be avoided. Only factual, referenced material in 'encyclopedic' language should be added. Read more about the particular policy at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :) Samar (Talk . Contributions) 20:27, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The lake I mentioned in the articles is the same one, that is Qurumber (mispronounced and often quoted as Karamber or Karomber), I have seen the links you mentioned, but according to new research and online documents, Lake is in Baroghil valley which is in the territory of KPK.See This

The Lake seems to be a disputed area between GB and KPK provinces. Recently I myself went there on the trekking and climbing expedition and asked people about the status of the territory. There are different accounts, some of them told that this lake is half in GB and half in KPK and some said its entirely in KPK. Shandur polo ground is also a disputed territory between Gilgit and Chitral, the case is still in court but Shandur Polo Ground is being assumed as the territory of Chitral district.Abdul.wasiq (talk) 02:43, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any online source mentioning this dispute.? Anyways, I think its best if we make a statement such as 'on the border of KPK and GB' or something in that line so it does not appear any side is being taken. And we can add the details in location header of the article about the dispute. As for the name, will add the alternate spellings also. Good job there on the new article, but try avoiding essay like sentences. :) Samar (Talk . Contributions) 08:20, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your appreciation and guidance, since I am new on wikipedia, so it will take me some time to get used to it. An Indian's change in the Darkot Pass brought me here, he mentioned that Darkot Pass is in India (See the history for that). so I put up the image and coordinates. I have explored the entire area extensively. Will try to share all the details and locate the links for territorial disputes. Thanks. Abdul.wasiq (talk) 18:48, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You will be surprised to know how many things we have in common with India, including names of places, buildings, dams. I will keep a tab on your edits, will let you know of the policies along the way, you will learn fast. Hope you contribute here positively, we have a handful of editors from Pakistan. If you have images of other lakes, valleys from your visit, please upload them also. Samar (Talk . Contributions) 19:18, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An editor having the Coordinates of the location, can not be victim of coincidence. Anyway, I would try my best to post and correct things from Pakistani perspective, as much as I can do.I have pictures and my personal accounts regarding the places I have traveled across Pakistan, I will try to share ASAP.Abdul.wasiq (talk) 01:24, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
