A tag has been placed on Compass Lexecon, LLC, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. javért | talk 19:14, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

July 2009[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. javért | talk 19:36, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent addition to Alex Sink has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Hitro talk 19:37, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Compass Lexecon, LLC. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. javért | talk 19:42, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Hairhorn (talk) 19:49, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with Compass Lexecon, LLC, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. javért | talk 19:51, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As it has become apparent that your account will be used solely for unconstructive editing, you have been indefinitely blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest it by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} to this page. Kuru talk 20:01, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

User acknowledges coi/copyvio policies and will abide.

Request handled by: Kuru talk 20:19, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Have you had a chance to read the policies noted above related to conflict of interest, promotional material, and copyright violations? Do you understand the reason your edits have triggered these actions? Kuru talk 20:08, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, I only scanned them. I apologize, I was anxious to get a page up for a company I am interning at. And I originally copy and pasted right from the company website which I thought was the best way of doing it- I now understand how incorrect that assumption was. I will absolutely read through all guidelines before editing again. I honestly just got this account less than an hour ago. I apologize for acting hastily, and I would really appreciate another chance at being a contributing user.
Question: Do you plan on editing any other articles or is getting Compass Lexecon on Wikipedia your only aim? javért | talk 20:16, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies, I had unblocked before reading this follow up question. Abonneau; it would be a good idea to avoid the topic of that particular institution and work on other areas if you'd like to contribute. Kuru talk 20:19, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I understand. I will avoid the topic. Thank you for unblocking me.
Ah, okay. If you have any questions or need help with anything, you are more than welcome to ask me on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Below you will find some links that you may find helpful. Best, javért | talk 20:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hi, Abonneau. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck! javért | talk 20:33, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!
