Notice[edit]

If there are two article's with the same name, the second article should be created under a different name. See Oracle and Oracle (software testing) for example. Both have the same name, but the latter has an identifying comment between "()". If you wish to create an article about the artist, you should create the article at Aaron Murphy (artist) Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 11:56, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Aaron Murphy (Artist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Aaron Murphy (Artist). This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. RadioFan (talk) 12:10, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Aaron Murphy (Artist). If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 12:15, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.Canterbury Tail talk 12:20, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article[edit]

Please stop trying to create an article on Wikipedia for yourself. Wikipedia isn't to be used for self promotion or advertising. And calling for the article on the Rugby player to be deleted so you can have your name won't work either. The rugby player is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia, there is no evidence that you are notable. Canterbury Tail talk 12:30, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning that you are receiving regarding your disruptive edits, such as this edit you made to User:Lectonar/About me. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing without further notice. Jusdafax 12:34, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning[edit]

This is your final warning to stop trying to use Wikipedia to advertise yourself. There is no evidence that the person you are writing about is a notable artist. See WP:Notable. If you persist in this line of editing you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Also vandalising other users pages is a blockable offense. Canterbury Tail talk 12:41, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
