WikiProject Texas A&M

Howdy! As a current or past contributor to a related article, I thought I'd let you know about WikiProject Texas A&M, a collaborative effort to improve Wikipedia's coverage of Texas A&M University. If you would like to participate, you can visit the project page, where you can join the project and see a list of open tasks and related articles. Thanks and Gig 'em! — BQZip01 — talk 06:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gates & Boots image[edit]

I don't think the image you posted with Secretary Gates and his boots needs to be on the Texas A&M page as it adds nothing and pertains to nothing directly on the page. Furthermore, it is a duplicate of Image:RobertGates_TAMU_SeniorBoots.JPEG already on many other pages, you don't have appropriate attribution, etc. I'll be nominating it for deletion later since it isn't necessary. Good image add though. — BQZip01 — talk 06:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, (just an FYI) the other image is already in use on:
...so it isn't being covered up! :-) — BQZip01 — talk 06:10, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Robert gates senior boots.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is a redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Robert gates senior boots.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Image:Red white and blue out.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image with an unknown source or an unknown copyright status which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.
