Image copyright problem with Image:Corkcityfccrest.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Corkcityfccrest.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --03:58, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ring Of Fire Article[edit]

Hi Albert, you seem to be the main man on here for Rovers related articles so I thought I'd just leave a short message in relation to an article I came across and subsequently edited and leave it with you. I came across the article on the Johnny Cash song "Ring Of Fire" and noticed an error in the "In Sports" section of the article and corrected it. Since then it has been changed a number of times by a Liverpool fan, presumably monitoring the page, citing a number of rediculous reasons one of which I found insulting. As I'm neither a regular user of wikipedia nor a registered one I reckon I'd be fighting an uphill battle to maintain it in it's factually correct form so if you had a bit of spare time maybe you could do something about it source-wise or using some wiki mechanism that's available to you. I'm sure you've more important articles to deal with such as the main Rovers one and it may seem trivial but I'd appreciate if you gave it a look. Cheers & KOH. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.105.51 (talk) 17:42, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He now wants "a direct quote from the aforementioned source in support of the full statement",Talk:Ring of Fire (song)#Shamrock Rovers F.C.. I'm not au fait with wiki law so I don't know if he's chancing his arm or exceeding his mandate but I'll leave it with you. Cheers & KOH.

Images[edit]

Hi Albert, I was wondering if you'd be willing to upload the following images in the public domain for use in the SRFC and Tallaght Stadium articles - [1] [2]. Also, if you were able to help in gaining permission/uploading the following image in some way that would be great - [3]. No worries if you're not able to help with any of the above. KOH. I have nominated David O'Connor (footballer), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David O'Connor (footballer) (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. King of ♠ 05:25, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Albert.white! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Wayne Colbert - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Stephen O'Brien (footballer) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks for uploading File:Corkcityfccrest.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not.
