I was trying out some of the features of wikipedia in my sandbox with myre island, however it got saved as a page even though I thought it wouldn't. This time can you actually help and tell me what to do rather than just saying what I already know. AlexR24 (talk) 17:52, 26 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what exactly you are looking for. Your sandbox is here (or you can use the "Sandbox" link at the top of the page). If you're looking for things to do in general, the Community Portal has lists of articles that need improvement. If you're looking for a general introduction, try the tutorial. My page was supposed to be saved in my sandbox not as a page but it didn't for some reason. Can you help me fix this please. AlexR24 (talk) 20:40, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you mean the page about Myre Island, there was no indication that the island even exists. Wikipedia is not a free web host; hoaxes should not be kept in sandboxes either. I have deleted the page. Huon (talk) 22:15, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Myre Island[edit]

The article Myre Island has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Articles fails WP:NPOV and no previous version to restore.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Hi, Alex. I noticed your Hitchhiker edit on Jimbo Wales' page and looked further back in your contributions. Oral teachings was piped to the article Oral gospel tradition, so the word "oral" was neither typo nor vandalism.[1] I think you know about piped links, since you inserted one here, a joke. That one had originally been added by the IP 86.172.133.218.[2] I presume that IP was also you, per WP:DUCK. Please don't mess about. I'm not saying you're doing any great harm, but there are plenty of actually useful things you can do. (I noticed you did that in November-December.) Bishonen | talk 21:16, 14 March 2015 (UTC).[reply]
