Rather than make a separate section on everyone's talk page, I'll just ask and tag the others here:

Since we've all been working collaboratively with each other for quite a while now, for reference, what articles listed in my sandbox that are on my watch list are also on your guys' watch list? Amaury (talk) 02:33, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

For main TV series articles, I've got Austin & Ally; Best Friends Whenever; Bunk'd; Girl Meets World; Henry Danger; I Didn't Do It; Jessie; K.C. Undercover; Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn; Stuck in the Middle; and The Thundermans. Episode list articles: Austin & Ally; Dog with a Blog; Girl Meets World; Henry Danger; I Didn't Do It; Jessie; K.C. Undercover; Liv and Maddie; Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn; and The Thundermans. Character list articles: Girl Meets World.

I just added Backstage. I recall you requested that earlier, Amaury, though I was baffled about recent edits replacing the Canadian air dates, which should be there given that it's a Canadian show. I see it's in need of summaries; not sure how many I can do, but will rewatch and come up with what I can.

I do have a few actors/actresses related to these TV series on my watchlist as well, plus some other TV series. MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:32, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

@Amaury: I had most of those, except for Make It Pop, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, The Other Kingdom and Paradise Run. I added those now, though. @Amaury: In general, I don't put TV series on my watchlist (my watchlist is still focused more on rail-related topics, and (TV) actor bios; and often I don't need to because the rest of you guys have those handled!). I used to have Paradise Run on my list (after it was listed at AfD, and I helped get it into shape), but I took it off a couple of weeks after the new episodes stopped airing. I have Backstage on my watchlist currently because, up until a few days ago, no one else was watching it. And articles I helped "create" will generally remain on my watch list, so Lab Rats: Elite Force is on my watchlist, and is likely to stay there. However, I usually follow what you guys are up to, so I often see if one of the articles you guys is watching is "under attack" from vandals, etc. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 12:44, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

I watch most of those, looking mainly for vandalism and unreferenced changes. Stuff that is changed by editors I trust I just check for errors and possible incomplete vandalism reverts. I spend some time repairing vandalism, or marginally competent editors who sometimes go on crusades breaking stuff when I see it, and usually end up putting their pages I fixed in my watch list which is generally how my watchlist expands. I am glad to see more people working on kids shows, for a while it felt kind of lonely. Geraldo Perez (talk) 22:05, 7 May 2016 (UTC)

Dead Disney Press link

Hey, Nyuszika7H – do you have a place to dig up archives of 'dead link' Disney Press releases? The So Random! random article has a ref with this link, but there's no (usable) archive for it at archive.org. Also pinging Geraldo Perez in case he knows an answer as well. @IJBall: The actual URL used is this, that site is defunct and redirects to Disney ABC Press now. That one just passed through my STiki feed, and I have to say it took me a few minutes to run through things to see that it wasn't vandalism before I marked it "Innocent." I can understand why someone might have reverted it, given the text. With regard to Dodger67 (talk · contribs) maybe WP:AGF? Yeah, sorry about that reaction, I can see how it would seem like vandalism at first look. It's not really necessary to include that part, I did that because usually the whole thing is included, IIRC {{cite tweet}} instructs users to include the entire contents of the tweet in the |title= parameter, and this is similar. nyuszika7h (talk) 16:13, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

Just wanted to revive this briefly because I forgot to mention that if you guys want to stay updated on whatever it is I'm looking after to watch out for vandalism or the other usual stuff you guys do, you are more than free to—and you may have already done it—watch my sandbox so that when I add something, you guys can see it on your watch list and add it as well if you so desire and I don't have to "annoy" you with messages. :P

Re: Captioning

Moving this here.

Yeah, that second set of lyrics with "...learn" instead of "...red alert" is a common one. I've never seen the other one, though. As for being right in one episode and then reverting, I think that has to do with them airing episodes out of production order. Since lyrics never change, they could just use a copy-paste or something if there's even such a thing for captioning. Although lyrics did change for the fourth season of Austin & Ally, but I don't think the lyrics themselves changed, there was the addition of Laura's voice. Just like there is now a more fluid episode table code, I'm sure there's the same for other tables, such as awards, rather than that ugly hard-coded stuff. Would you be interested in updating those in articles we're watching, like Austin & Ally? It also seems I messed up something after I trimmed the awards table per this discussion. Would you take a look there, too, please? I'll try and play around with it some more, but if I can't get it, you'll need to work your fantastic magic. Thank you. @Amaury: There isn't a template for awards, but that one isn't as bad as the episode or ratings tables, and a template to replace the table may not be that simple to use in that case (like I tried making one for filmographies, but that would have made reordering entries harder). Anyway, the problem was too much rowspan, going past the table (this visual glitch where the border is missing always indicates that). Note on Legendary Dudas Guest Stars

Just a heads up for when or if you start watching this, because the show is comprised of two mini-episodes, I think is the correct term, of approximately 10 minutes each—pretty much like cartoons such as Rugrats—with the exception of the first episode and possibly some unknown future episodes, they list each mini-episode's guest stars—and co-stars, though they're not important enough to list, of course—in the credits. So if Principal Platt appears in both mini-episodes, he'll be shown twice, for example. However, that would just be a big mess to list actors twice, so what I will be doing for future mini-episodes' guest stars is combining them and basing the order off the first episode. (I've already done that with the second episode.) In my opinion, that's still correct because they are still one episode even though there are two mini-episodes, if that makes sense. As the old saying goes, one set of credits means one episode, regardless of how many production codes or mini-episodes an episode contains. Amaury (talk | contribs) 02:01, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

@Thelaststory99: I'm not an admin, I just noticed that the protection set by an admin has already expired. The changes you made were reverted because of copyright violation. Text from other websites (or books, etc.) cannot be used without permission of the copyright holder, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. The contributions are not lost forever, if you can get permission they can be restored, otherwise you will have to write it in your own words (and don't just change a few words, see WP:PARAPHRASE). – nyuszika7h (talk) 10:28, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Pokemon go images

Hi. I left you a message about the userboxes I did few days ago but you did not reply. So if you may see that I upladed images and used it for those userboxes. I can't see the files in your uploaded files list, perhaps they were already deleted, but unless it's something simple like the Poké Ball image I used, you won't be able to use it in userspace, as you are not allowed to use "fair use" images there, only freely licensed ones. nyuszika7h (talk) 19:59, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Pokemon Go deletion

I think you have it backwards. If an edit is UNSOURCED, you can be bold and delete. However, from [Wikipedia:Content removal]: when removing a section of an article, it is necessary that it at least be explained, and in some cases, discussed. Unexplained content removal is when the reason for the removal is not obvious, and is open to being promptly reverted.: In this case, the source is unimpeachable: Dun & Bradstreet and your deletion falls into the category of [Wikipedia:I just don't like it]: "Wikipedia is not a business deal. It is an encyclopedia. Well-argued statements beat personal, subjective tastes". So, please discuss before trying to remove this section (you can edit/dispute it all you like, of course).Santamoly (talk) 20:49, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Series overview

I noticed you created Category:Articles using Template:Series overview with empty start date; I've already created Category:Articles using Template:Series overview with only one row, if you're interested in following it. I found that quite a few violated WP:TVOVERVIEW and found themselves in these categories, so I cleaned them out. There's alerts on my user page that declare if there are articles in the categories. @AlexTheWhovian: Thanks for telling me about the category. And yeah, I've seen those alerts, they're nice. You can also get notices when articles are added/removed from categories on your watchlist. Hi. I just checked and there is still a line that says 'Tafila Technical University © 2016 | Development and design : Ateyah ALbdour'. While the text 'Tafila Technical University © 2016' is present, the copyright remains, even if a CC logo is present. What is needed is the replacement of the copyright notice with 'Except where otherwise noted, content on this site is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.' But even when the copyright notice is removed, there is still the problem of plagiarism, which is why a revert is not appropriate at this time. Thank-you. David.moreno72 13:33, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
@Davidmoreno72: You seem to misunderstand copyright. The content is still copyrighted even if it's licensed under a free license, this is not the same thing as public domain. (Even if there is no copyright notice at all it's copyrighted under the Berne convention.) It may be useful to place that text there to not rely on solely an image, for accessibility, but it shouldn't be strictly necessary. And it's not exactly plagiarism as the editor who added it is the site's owner, and it's cited in "External links". Yeah, I'm certainly no expert on copyright. The editor has been trying for some time to get his copying and pasting onto Wikipedia (starting on the 12th of July!!), so much so that they received multiple indefinite blocks for multiple socks. Also, when the page was protected they even created a duplicate of the page (now deleted) !! Personally I don't know why they are so adamant to get it onto Wikipedia anyway. If one wants to find out more detail on the university they can visit it's home page. I also doubt that they have obtained permission from the university management to add a copyleft logo onto the page. The whole mess could have been avoided if they had simply used their own words. @David.moreno72: Ah, so it is the same editor. I ended up in this situation because I was patrolling semi-protected edit requests and I rejected a request as unclear. I wasn't aware it's a block-evading user. And good point about the university, I should have thought about that. MoS for prequels

In finding https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfNTEf5ZtSc looking for the evil sorceress' name I refreshed myself on the plot and realized that in star wars terms it appears that probably Sofia the First is episodes 4-6 and Elena of Avalor is episodes 1-3. Sofia was first broadcast but being that Elena's trapped in the amulet (grimdark ending known in advanced like w/ Darth Vader) and the amulet exists in the first episode of Sofia the First (handed down for generations, I think they said) it's like a prequel that is aired after.

So is 'followed by' only appropriate for a second series which aired after the first series AND includes events which occur after the first series' events, like Legend of Kora compared to Avatar: The Last Airbender ? Ranze (talk) 12:48, 21 July 2016 (UTC)

@Ranze: Most likely, yes, I'd say so. And Elena can't really be a successor of Sofia anyway as the latter series is still ongoing. On that topic, unfortunately many people misuse the preceded/followed by parameters for new shows airing in the time slot of a show after it has ended, which is explicitly disallowed by the template documentation. [Postcards from Buster]] might also be a good guide for me to remember, it uses 'related by' and aired after Arthur's start and before Arthur's conclusion (assuming it ever concludes) but I wonder if 'related' is more due to because we know of any clear chronological sequence, as in these events could happen in the middle of Arthur.

Dora the Explorer is listed as ending June 2014 and the pilot of Dora and Friends is listed as having an August 2011 premier yet these have a proceeded/followed relationship. Of course the main televization says August 2014 which is clearly after, and the events are clearly after due to age progression. Gonna tag that pilot anyway I don't see a ref for it. First, before I say anything, let me just clarify that I am not mad or upset or getting after you in any way whatsoever or anything. I am simply trying to discuss something. :) I have problems myself determining the tone of an online message and I often misinterpret messages, so I just wanted to say that so your feelings aren't potentially hurt or you don't get mad at me, haha! Normally, I don't really do this, but this case I feel could be different if I didn't mention this.

I remember when you and IJBall got after me for following WP:OVERLINKING much too strictly and had to bring it up twice—or more; I can't rememeber—though I don't think either time was on my talk page. I had actually forgotten about the first time as it was on an article talk page that I'm still watching that I didn't really check again—at that point in time—so I continued being strict with it until it was brought up again and IJBall referred me to WP:RF.

Anyway, I feel that WP:RF could apply nicely here as well and MOS:CT shouldn't be followed that stricly. "Without" looks weird to me capitalized—unless it's the first or last word in the title, of course—and it's why I've always gone by the Chicago Manual of Style which says to lowercase prepositions regardless of length, whether it's on here or on threads I create on my forums. This doesn't follow the Chicago Manual of Style, but I still find it helpful, where it says for prepositions like "up," it depends on if it's being used adjectivally or adverbially or not. For example you’d capitalize the word “up” in a title that read “Squiggly Looked Up a Word” but not in a title that read “Squiggly Walked up the Mountain.”. I think going by the Chigago Manual of Style, you'd just lowercase "up," for example, regardless, but I'm not sure. There might also be some rules there for certain prepositions in regard to them being used adjectivally or adverbially or not. This is also helpful in general for me if I don't know whether a word is a preposition or not.

@Amaury: I don't really mind too much either way, I changed it back in accordance with the MOS because you didn't give an explanation. I don't think it looks that weird personally, though. @Amaury: I won't lie – I prefer more capitalization of words in titles than our MOS allows for. (For example, not capitalizing the word "like" in many of our movie and song titles looks abjectly wrong to me...) So, to me, "Without" looks better capitalized. All that said, I've long given up having any strong opinions about title capitalizations, and so don't have any strong opinions in this particular instance either. I love changes!

I missed the premiere of Gamer's Guide's second season yesterday, and it doesn't look like the first episode is repeating anytime soon. (For a moment I also thought I missed a new episode of Kirby Buckets, but thankfully there wasn't one this week.) So when I do record next week's new episode of Gamer's Guide and possibly new episodes after that depending on when the first episode repeats, I'll have to wait to watch it until I've recorded the first episode as I like to watch things, at least the first time, in airing order.

@Amaury: Yeah, that also happens to me with shows that air here and it's annoying. Sometimes my set-top box for satellite TV just "forgets" to record scheduled things (protip: never buy anything from Sagem/Sagemcom, though in this case it was given by the provider). I do forget to schedule it in the first place sometimes, though a blogger usually posts monthly schedules for kids' channels (Disney, Nick, etc.) almost a month in advance here, so that's helpful.
For U.S. shows I don't have this problem since I don't live there and most things get TV, Watch Disney and iTunes rips posted quickly, so I just download the episodes because I'm not waiting forever for a dubbed version, I prefer watching in original language anyway, at least for English shows (and anime, and even that usually with English subtitles because they tend to be better than Hungarian ones).
Speaking of Gamer's Guide, I'm behind on that right now as the last one I've seen is episode 17 (I was watching other shows). nyuszika7h (talk) 18:39, 19 July 2016 (UTC)

Or satellite provider. :P We've got DirecTV. And I think Nickelodeon does the same thing, but I don't know if they'd still have Max & Shred season two, especially considering it was on Nicktoons, which we don't have on this package. I also never saw the first episode of the first season since it seems they never really advertised the show. It's one of those shows where they don't bother putting it in their lineup for reruns. They only show it once, and that's it. Too bad for anyone who missed it. At least Disney Channel and Disney XD don't do that. Sure, it may sometimes take a while, at least on Disney XD, for a new episode to repeat, but once it does, it's usually shown quite often. I also think Disney handles their shows better. They also have silent cancellations and the like, but from personal experience, not as often as Nickelodeon, and they almost always at least have three seasons. Lab Rats: Elite Force

You may need to tweak the viewership data reference I provided for the latest episode (as well as on List of Kirby Buckets episodes for Buckets of Money from season two) as I can't remember if comments eventually disappear or not. Or does what you said in the Viewership Data discussion here also apply to Lab Rats: Elite Force (and Gamer's Guide to Pretty Much Everything) since Disney XD's viewers are lower compared to Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, so they end up not making Showbuzz Daily's list most of the time. Although like I said before, it would be nice if they listed all of the shows in the official list or, at the very least, increased it to the top 200 or 250. I'll leave it up you, but just wanted to mention that what you said wasn't fully accurate: It's redundant to include even the date part of the titles for Showbuzz Daily since it's in the |date= parameter already, so the titles can be made even shorter. The date parameter contains the date Showbuzz Daily published the ratings—for example, using the first episode of Backstage, March 28, 2016—whereas the date they have in their title is the date those shows actually aired—for example, using the first episode of Backstage again, March 25, 2016.
