Help request[edit]

Dear Mr Almuusawi,

Nice to meet you.

Could you kindly help me translate this text into the Kuwaiti Arabic language? please.

هكذا أحبّ اللهُ العالَمَ حتى وهَبَ اَبنَهُ الأوحَدَ، فَلا يَهلِكَ كُلّ مَنْ يُؤمِنُ بِه، بل تكونُ لَهُ الحياةُ الأبدِيّةُ.

The English version of the text is: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Your translation can be based on the Classical Arabic or the English version.

Hi @Philip J:, nice to meet you. This is religious text so I don't recommend translating it to Kuwaiti. As stated in the article, Kuwaiti is not considered "high enough", I'd say for the lack of better phrase in my mind, to translate religious text into. Think of it like translating that text to Africans American Vernacular (Ebonics), it might come off as a little disrespectful to some people. I'd be happy to help you translate something else though, like the interpretation of that text (if available). --Almuusawi (talk) 19:12, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, could you at least help me Romanize this Classical Arabic text? (ie. transliterate this text into Romanized/Latinized Arabic):

هكذا أحبّ اللهُ العالَمَ حتى وهَبَ اَبنَهُ الأوحَدَ، فَلا يَهلِكَ كُلّ مَنْ يُؤمِنُ بِه، بل تكونُ لَهُ الحياةُ الأبدِيّةُ.

Thanks --Philip J (talk) 20:22, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Philip J: I'm not familiar with the Congress's transcription style, but I can try my best to transcribe it to IPA. Is that fine? --Almuusawi (talk) 02:17, 8 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, you can transcribe it to IPA --Philip J (talk) 01:16, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 14[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bneid Al-Gar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Clipping. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Ishbilya moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Ishbilya. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (talk) 20:35, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
