Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Copyright tagging[edit]

Why did you tag for copyright violation? The article was in no way a copy at all. -- Whpq (talk) 17:43, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Special:NewPagesFeed has identified List of female American football teams as copyrighted (although is not copyrighted). Earwig says the copyright violation is 0.0% unlikely. It was Unfair terms in Irish contract law, which is 92% likely to be a copyright violation. AlphaDenied623 (talk) 17:57, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was asking specifically about the football list. You are v responsible for your edits. That some automated process flagged an article as a possible copyright violation does not mean that it is one. You must make the determination. -- Whpq (talk) 19:54, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attacks[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Apeholder. I noticed that you made a comment that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - namely the unfounded request to block me yesterday for copyright violations i.e. an article that quoted THE LAW Apeholder (talk) 16:14, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
