Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Hi JJB, while I understand Wikipedia's general guidelines, I don't quite understand what is being referred to in this commentary. The writing re: the Quiet Corner was entirely my own. I wrote it myself. Additionally, I've gotten the rights to use the pictures I used, as my mother took them herself and gave me permission to use them. They can be found on her Newsreel page on Facebook. I would prefer to use these, as I think they are more representative of the Quiet Corner proper, rather than the pictures they were replaced with. The text wasn't the issue. If the pictures fall under license from your mom, it needs to be stated and clarified since it is uploaded to other sites which hold copyright over photos. It can be confusing if nothing is said. —JJ B^e ^rs 22:51, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
