re Map[edit]

Thank you very much for the work you did there. Since the green one is the closest to the present one, I would think that it would find favour. As regards the Scotland article, I liked the one you showed me too but it was discussed at the Scotland project or it might have been the talk page and the present one was adopted, shame really. I'll have a play with them in a sandbox and report back. I'm no expert in cartography as you have already realised but was wondering if someone say was doing an article on a Shetland island and used your map as the basis, but did a cut and paste so that a Shetland only map was produced, would the red dot still appear on the map? Once again, thanks for the work you've done on this. I understand what you are saying but the map now has this squashed down look that many would probably find disconcerting. Hello again. Sorry for the delay in replying – actually trying hard to keep away from WP for a bit. The stretched version of the map looks good to me. 2007 South Asian floods[edit]

maps on Commons[edit]

Hello. I see you've asked for a few of these maps to be deleted because they're on Commons. I'll do it but I suppose it's my duty to point out that the Commons images are not categorized. :-) Unsorted images is one of the big headaches on Commons so if you have a minute, please add categories there. Scottish infobox Map[edit]

Hi there, my edit summaries on Template:Location map Scotland indicate what I thought was a problem (and what turned out to be the solution, namely some wikimedia server errors that have been causing issues with image cashes - hence neither map was working). I have left the box map as the original for the moment, as I think we can make some improvements. I will render a high res version in WGS84 and then you can let me know what/how the projection alteration should be conducted - I'm afraid at the moment the loss of transparency and (most especially) the pixelation caused by the projection changes have left us with something that is not quite as good as it could be. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when.
