Welcome from Redwolf24[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.

Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.

Romania[edit]

Hi Anclation! I've read your page about Romania ([1]) and I just want to congratulate you for it! It's also great to see you're collaborating at Romania-related articles? Have you been to Romania recently? Which part of Norway are you from? I've been to Oslo and Bergen in Norway, and it was great! Cheers, Ronline 11:39, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ronline, it's always nice to receive praise, especially from such a respected Wikipedia contributer such as yourself. And to answer your questions, I visited Romania this Easter and hope to visit the country yearly from now on. I currently live in Oslo, the capital of Norway. Anittas[edit]

Hi Anclation! I think the recent behaviour of Anittas is very worrying, particularly since he has continued to make personal attacks even after two RfC have been conducted regarding his actions. I'm thinking of starting an RfArbCom against him, since it seems that he doesn't want to refrain from making personal attacks, even though multiple users have tried to explain to him why his comments were against policy. What do you think? Thanks, Ronline 05:54, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He doesn't care about your opinion. He already made up his mind. He just wants your vote, that's all. --Anittas 06:00, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do care very much about other people's opinions. This is not about getting anyone's vote, it's about coming up with a solution that satisfies all parties. Ronline 06:02, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You already made up your mind about this, so why ask for his opinion? --Anittas 06:05, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Because I respect community consensus. If no one else thinks that starting an RfArb is appropriate, I will reconsider. I don't want to start arbitration just for the sake of it, since I think it's quite a significant move. However, seeing as you have continued making personal attacks, RfArb remains the only option after two unsuccessful RfCs. Ronline 06:15, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't lie. You already made up your mind when you said this:

I'm currently in the process of starting a request for arbitration against Anittas, for the personal attacks he continued making after his second RfC, as well as for the insults that were not rectified in that RfC. I would like to know if you would support this RfArb.

In fact, you made up your mind long before you started the RfC. This was a part of your masterplan. --Anittas 06:17, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I probably shouldn't be writing this to you on another user's talkpage, since it's cluttering up the page, but there is no masterplan. You seem to think that everything is a conspiracy against you. To be honest, my first reaction after you made the anti-gay statements and after the messages to your talk page regarding them, was to start an RfArb. However, I figured that an RfC would be better in that case because it's more flexible and less punitive. What worries me is that you haven't taken anything in that RfC seriously - you've continued to make just as harsh personal attacks. So, it's not some grand masterplan where I seek to intentionally make you say personal attacks. I've got absolutely nothing against you as a user. However, when you make personal attacks, I've told you. And it seems that discussion doesn't help - and I've tried that so many times - because you just don't want to respect policy and be civil and no make personal attacks on other users. Ronline 06:25, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
My point here was simple: you did not come here to ask for his opinion. You came here to have his support. Your statement to other users, that I have posted here, proves this. --Anittas 06:27, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's not right. To the other users that you made personal attacks against, I asked for their support. To Anclation, I asked for his opinion, since he is a neutral observer. Ronline 06:36, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you asked for their support, it means that you have already decided to start the Arb. In that case, what good will Anclation's opinion do? Answer me that one. --Anittas 06:43, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the late answer. Yes, I have decided to start the Arb, but that doesn't mean that it's all set in stone. I just wanted Anclation's opinion, since he is neutral and I value his opinion on this matter. Also, he witnessed the dispute quite extensively and so knew about the case. I hope this makes sense. Ronline 12:37, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anittas, revision of position[edit]

Thanks for the reply, Anclation. I am actually considering not starting an RfArb at the moment, if only because Anittas did engage in more constructive dialogue relating to his talk page, and the issue with Node's picture was resolved (resulting in a 24 hour block). I would just really appreciate it if he stops making any personal attacks from now on. It would also be good if he apologises to Orioane for calling him a "traitor to Romania". Ronline 12:37, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

template / apologies[edit]

I apologize fot template deletion without much thinking. I see you didn't edit much in English wikipedia and probably have no good idea about my attitude to Romanians. My problem was long fight with sick ultra-nationalist troll Bonaparte, which actually did much harm to the reputation of Romanians; much more than he wrote useful articles. Please take a look to my contributions in Romanian topics.

May be you understand that I am not enemy of Romania. I happen to have a different kind of knowledge, a hisory that is little known. mikka (t) 18:58, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Siberian" Wikipedia[edit]

Hello! Recently, you cast a vote against closure of the "Siberian" Wikipedia, presumably basing it on the supposed existence of the "Siberian language" with millions of speakers. Perhaps the issue was misunderstood. There is no Siberian language or Siberian nation, apart from the native Turkic and other peoples who lived there long before Russian colonists arrived in the 16th century. The matter in question is an artificial "language" created based on several archaic Russian dialects in 2005 by a Mr. Zolotarev and a few of his friends, inclusion of which fairly blatantly violates the No Original Research policy of Wikipedia. Siberian Slavs speak Russian and list themselves on censuses as Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusans - this you can verify for yourself. I invite you to return to participate in the discussion and reconsider your vote, and appreciate constructive debate on the topic. Cossack 00:01, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Siberian wikipedia thanks you for your vote in our support. Unfortunately, many votes in this voting http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Proposals_for_closing_projects/Closure_of_Siberian_Wikipedia are alleged to be falsified. We need you to verify your vote. There are two ways of doing it: you can confirm it right below this request or you can do this by adding to your user page a link to your meta account (like this:[3]") --Yaroslav Zolotaryov 23:50, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Health Wiki Research

A colleague and I are conducting a study on health wikis. We are looking at how wikis co-construct health information and create communities. We noticed that you are a frequent contributor to Wikipedia on health topics.

Please consider taking our survey here.

This research will help wikipedia and other wikis understand how health information is co-created and used.

We are from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The project was approved by our university research committee and members of the Wikipedia Foundation.

Thanks, --Sharlene Thompson 18:12, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
