Speedy deletion nomination of Ferrari GT 3: World Track[edit]

Hello Annevy Cristian,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ferrari GT 3: World Track for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Seriously, what should I do? Annevy Cristian (talk) 16:27, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright, seriously, are you telling me that a "description" of a radom website is copyrighted? Annevy Cristian (talk) 16:35, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What you need to do is not copy and paste the description of a game directly from the publisher. You need to find multiple wp:RS and then write an original description of the game and other important information. If you do not intend to actually write the article yourself, please do not create one. It is unethical and illegal to steal words someone else wrote on another website and pass them off as your own. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, I don't mean it to- but I don't know how to be totally clear without also being blunt. Every article on WP was written by volunteers- someone took the time to craft those words and paragraphs as opposed to copying and pasting them from another website. And yes, I am telling you that a description of a raNdom website is copyrighted. Every word published anywhere is copyrighted by the person or company who created it. Nightenbelle (talk) 17:01, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For more information I suggest you read WP:Copyrights before creating any more articles. Nightenbelle (talk) 17:02, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I get it Annevy Cristian (talk) 17:38, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, you really don't. Deleting two words does not mean its not still a copyright violation. Please look at the changes the person after you made-Its still dangerously close to a copyright violation- but at least they put in a few of their own words. I'm still tagging the page as needing to be fixed before I mark it reviewed. If you are not willing to write an article from scratch, please do not create articles that someone else will have to come behind you and either delete or fix. Instead, you could list pages that need to be created here: WP:AFC and let someone with time and willingness create an article from scratch. I would rather see you write an article yourself though. You can do it I'm sure- and WP always needs more creators!! Nightenbelle (talk) 18:59, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Android (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:13, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's good or bad? Annevy Cristian (talk) 21:36, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ford Simulator II requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://serious.gameclassification.com/EN/games/26878-Ford-Simulator-II/index.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Close paraphrasing[edit]

See Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. I know your recent car game articles aren't exact copies, but the phrasing is extremely close. Even if you change a word or two in a sentence, if the main body of the article is still extremely similar to that of the source, it's close paraphrasing, which Wikipedia treats as a copyright violation. Wikipedia is very strict with copyright, due to legal reasons. Technically, WP is consider to be a "commercial site", and legal courts take commercial use of copyrighted materials very seriously.
