PSL Kits[edit]

Hi! I saw that recently you added kit colors of PSL teams, Thanks! But I have a question about Lahore Qalandars' kit, their 1st kit was colored black with red borders, and green one was their 2nd. Can you update it? Again, really Thanks! M. Billoo 07:54, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The black with red borders coloured Lahore kit was from the 2016 season. In 2017 they stopped the black kits and started wearing green jerseys identical to the one I made, so the 2016 kit is outdated and I don't think it would be necessary to put it in. If you think otherwise, please do let me know. Oh and no problem. All the best. Anzan7 08:17, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, I think you are right! But I had edited it, it can be corrected to your version. :) By the way, (Please remember to sign your posts on talk pages by typing four keyboard tildes like this: ~~~~. One more thing, I thought you could help. Can you please add the correct color schemes for Template:Cr-PSL? There had been a discussion on my talk page about it. Thanks! M. Billoo 09:20, 17 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I would definitely like to do that, however I am not very well-versed in creating color schemes. If there is any way you could direct me to a guide or instruction in to how I could do it. Thanks. Anzan7 (talk) 00:26, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Please add Multan Sultans kit, in support of this ref. The ref is already given on the page, Thanks! M. Billoo 13:41, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Billings and Islamabad[edit]

Hi. As far as I know Billings isn't planning on playing for Islamabad in the upcoming season. He tweeted (I think) something about it a while back. It's possible he's changed his mind of course, but I think that's still the case - unless you can show me a source that suggests otherwise? Thanks. PSL roster[edit]

Hi! You created the Template:Multan Sultans Roster and similar after we had a discussion. But now, they are nominated for speedy deletion by template editor Frietjes (notified). Wanted to let you know too, Thanks! M. Billoo 16:06, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

the best way to share the roster on multiple pages is to use LST which allows you to transclude a section from one article in a section of another article. this is the standard method being used for most roster tables. Frietjes (talk) 16:12, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Frietjes: Hi! Thanks for your kind response. Though the pages have been deleted, I wanted some guidance. See List of current Indian Premier League team rosters, is this usage correct? Like for PSL, we were wishing to create page 2018 Pakistan Super League squads (since 2016). But for IPL, they haven't made these pages except for one and only 2014 Indian Premier League squads (since 2008).
Like you said, if we insert Template:#section:2018 Pakistan Super League squads#Multan Sultans to Multan Sultans#Current squad, what is the correct way of using this tag? I didn't understand, please guide. Thanks! M. Billoo 16:42, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
M.Billoo2000 try {{#section-h:2018 Pakistan Super League squads|Multan Sultans}} in Multan Sultans#Current squad, and you may want to add {{transcluded section|2018 Pakistan Super League squads}} to let people know how to edit the content. Frietjes (talk) 16:57, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Frietjes: One more thing came in my mind, wanted to ask. Like "List of current Indian Premier League team rosters", how about if we move "2018 Pakistan Super League squads" to "List of current Pakistan Super League team rosters" for now? Next year, this will be shifted back to "2018 Pakistan Super League squads" and 2019 one can be said as current? Or simply, I wanted to ask that why should we use a table in two pages? Can Template:Main be used instead to avoid team's page going too long? Thanks! M. Billoo 17:12, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
M.Billoo2000, if you are going to have "2018 Pakistan Super League squads", "2017 Pakistan Super League squads", ... then I would think that "List of current Pakistan Super League team rosters" would be a redirect to the current season. otherwise, it gets messy to keep the edit history separated. in my opinion, the best place to keep the squads is in the team season articles, like Islamabad United in 2017, if it exists. if there is no team season article, then 2017 Pakistan Super League squads is the next place to put it. if that doesn't exist, then you put it in 2017 Pakistan Super League. in any case, there is no reason to duplicate the information in multiple places, so you either use (a) LST to transclude it or (b) {{main}} to point to it. Frietjes (talk) 17:29, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Do you think that the colors on the heading of the table need to be updated? Here's my combination, you may check better:

Islamabad Karachi Lahore Multan Peshawar Quetta

Where, "a" has the third color. Further, check Category:Pakistan Super League userboxes. Thanks! M. Billoo 21:38, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, yeah personally I think we should go with a single-colour font, instead of bi-colour since it looks more professional and appropriate for Wikipedia's format. However, I do agree that some of the colour combinations do need to be updated. Here is what I think:
Islamabad Karachi Lahore Multan Peshawar Quetta
Feel free to make make any suggestions.
Take care, Anzan7 (talk) 21:56, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your acceptation! The third color could be used for the scheme images only that you mostly update. Font is OK as you told above. M. Billoo 23:22, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cricket infoboxes[edit]

Hello. Please read the documentation for infobox cricketer. Of note is that per the infobox documentation we only add teams when the player has actually played a match for them. That means we don't add them if they were just in a squad or if they might play for them in the following year.

As an example of why this is important, players may be injured prior to a tournament and be unable to play in it. Or the tournament may be cancelled entirely.

Please ensure that you follow the requirements of the infobox documentation Thank you. Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:09, 27 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
