New Seven Wonders[edit]

TfD nomination of Template:New Seven Wonders[edit]

Template:New Seven Wonders has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. --Joopercoopers 11:16, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Voting[edit]

When voting in discussions for articles, templates, etc... for deletion, if you think the item should be kept, you vote "Keep" (not "no delete"). That usage is confusing and could actually cause your vote to be the opposite of what you desire. Happy editing!--Esprit15d (talk ¤ contribs) 13:03, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Taiwan flag[edit]

Hi,

The page Gallery of sovereign-state flags is really for decorative purposes more than anything else. It needs to correspond to the List of sovereign states. If you don't think Taiwan/ROC belongs on that list, then you should bring it up at the talk page there, not at the flag page (and, in fact, it looks like that discussion is already underway: see Talk:List of sovereign states#The ROC is a sovereign state). Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! —Chowbok 03:43, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, Taiwan, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Northern Cyprus, and Palestine are in the list of sovereign states. From the article: "[T]his list includes the following 202 entities... 193 sovereign states with general international recognition... [and] 9 sovereign states lacking general international recognition". All of your examples are included in the 9.
At any rate, I think you're missing my point. I'm not particularly interested in arguing what does or does not constitute a "sovereign state", just that the list and the flag gallery need to have the same entries. If you get a consensus on the list page that Taiwan should be taken off it, then I'll have no objections to its flag being removed from the gallery.—Chowbok 04:48, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have no opinion on the matter at all. You really just need to take this up at the talk page I refer to above.—Chowbok 04:52, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, that's a good point. Okay, give me a few minutes.—Chowbok 05:03, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed.—Chowbok 05:18, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gallery of sovereign state flags[edit]

Hi, if you have a dispute with the list of sovereign states, please take it to the list of sovereign states page, and do not edit out the flags on the Gallery of sovereign state flags. The list of flags is essentially slaved to the other list. You've done the edit twice, please don't do it any more.

Thanks, Skalskal (talk) 20:04, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. EdJohnston (talk) 16:27, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

3RR violation[edit]

You have been reported for violating the three-revert rule, (on the Gallery of sovereign-state flags) which prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. You may be blocked from editing in the future. Please bring your disputes to the appropriate talk/discussion pages. For that gallery, if you have a disagreement with the list of sovereign states, bring it to the list of sovereign states page. If you have a problem with the format, bring it to the gallery page.

Thank you. Skalskal (talk) 14:18, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
