Different-language Wikipedias[edit]

As a follow-up to your question, the Wikipedias of different languages are actually run by the same organization (the Wikimedia Foundation), but they all keep track of their users separately. They also are maintained by different groups of people, of course, which can lead to different rules and community standards.
