Image tagging for Image:Jimmie spheeris wiki2.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jimmie spheeris wiki2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

pictures on Jimmy Spheeris article[edit]

Hi, you've uploaded some pictures that are not properly tagged with copyright information. Please see the above message for links on how to properly tag these pictures. Errabee 22:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additions to Jimmie Spheeris article[edit]

I just wanted to say your edits and additions to the article on Jimmie Spheeris are great!

I started that article after my mother brought it up and I noticed a distinct lack of biographical information on the web. I added as much as I could at the time but it appears you've found plenty more to flesh out the article.

Great job and thanks again!

File permission problem with File:BrianCopeland.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BrianCopeland.jpg, which you've attributed to Joan Marcus/Brian Copeland. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —innotata 05:35, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Art101 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on User:Art101, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

July 2019[edit]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Request reason:

I was surprised to discover that my editing privileges at Wikipedia are indefinitely blocked. My Wikipedia account is also nominated for Speedy deletion. I'm confused. Please help me understand.

For the record, I sincerely believe, support, and respect Wikipedia's core mission and values. When creating or editing a Wikipedia article, I always attempt to follow Wikipedia's requirements and guidelines. Art101 (talk) 19:07, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • "Art101" is a website. Are you affiliated with it? What is your association with Bunny Hull? 331dot (talk) 20:21, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 331dot. I hope I'm posting this correctly. I've never been blocked so I'm in uncharted territory. Here's my reply to your questions:

Art101.com is my design studio website. Note that the link to art101usa.com in this thread is not my website and I am not affiliated with it. Art101 is also a convenient nickname I employ as a user name on many platforms across the 'net. I did not realize that this might be misconstrued as a conflict of interest or attempt to use WP as an advertising medium. I fully understand that WP is not – and should never be – a vehicle for self-promotion. Some of my clients have articles on WP, but I have no financial stake in their products or services. When writing or editing on WP, I attempt to use an appropriate, encyclopedic style, let the facts dictate my choices, and cite everything to the best of my ability.
Bunny Hull is a friend of a friend. She is not paying me to work on her WP article. Her name was appearing in dozens of WP articles with no link to an article about her work. After extensive research on many websites and news sources, I decided to take on that task. My goal is to provide information and fill some gaps that WP users might find interesting and useful.
I hope this helps clarify things. Please advise on steps needed to remove the block. I have many more references to reliable independent sources which should be included in Hull's article. Thank you for your time.Art101 (talk) 14:31, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You will need to propose a new username that is not that of your website, per the instructions in the block notice. You will need to comply with WP:PAID even if your clients have not specifically asked you to edit Wikipedia. Please review WP:COI and explain how you will edit consistent with that policy. 331dot (talk) 18:21, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Liquid Mind XII: Peace[edit]

Hello, Art101. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Liquid Mind XII: Peace".
