Italo-Albanian Catholic Church‎[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Italo-Albanian Catholic Church‎. I hope you won't mind that I commented out the material on the U.S. mission. As far as I can tell from its web page, it does not have a stable location, and it only meets for liturgy monthly. A community with such a tenuous existence doesn't really belong in an encyclopedia article. (Wikipedia is not a place for promotional material.) Thanks for your understanding, and again, welcome. --Chonak (talk) 03:35, 22 December 2010 (UTC) Dear Chonak,I am sorry to have to correct you but my entry was by no means promotional, as you suggest. Our Lady of Grace Italo-Greek Catholic Mission has been located in New York for over a hundred years, and it is registered and listed in the Directory of the Archdiocese of New York. This ough to appear in wikipedia because Italo-Greeks are not known to exist in the United States. Thank you.Augustinestudent (talk) 18:02, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you, Augustinestudent. I've added a short paragraph about the NY Mission and the church in Las Vegas. If you have a copy of the NY Catholic Directory, would you please add a reference to the relevant page? I have not been able to find anything on the Archdiocese web site to document the Mission's status. --Chonak (talk) 22:28, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

Thank you for your recent submission to Articles for Creation. Your article submission has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. You are welcome to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit once you feel they have been resolved.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John C. Cavadini requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. SlimJimJones (talk) 17:44, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Augustinestudent. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Roland J. Teske, S.J., for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Roland J. Teske, S.J. to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Advice[edit]

Please look at the way I edited Roland J. Teske to see the appropriate format. Bear in mind that our users are not likely to recognize the significance of these scholars unless it is spelled out for them, by showing all of their works. (If there are any awards or reviews of their books, please list them also.) And if you have information about the dates and places of birth, and their education, please include these as well. That's the sort of material that makes a Wikipedia article. I'll be glad to help you, as I am one the administrators here who frequently work on academic biographies. I'll fix up the other articles also, but in the future, do it right yourself in the first place. Ask mne on my talk p. if any questions. DGG ( talk ) 05:03, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Rodney R. Michel has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Tarcisius Van Bavel, O.S.A.[edit]

Hello Augustinestudent,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Tarcisius Van Bavel, O.S.A. for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Alpedio (talk) 14:07, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tarcisius Van Bavel[edit]

I'm asking for Tarcisius Van Bavel to be deleted: you already created Tarsicius Van Bavel last October, and we need to use Wikipedia:Moving a page to rename it to the correct spelling, rather than re-create the article. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 14:39, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, the original article has now been moved to the correct spelling. I've left the other two spellings as Wikipedia:Redirects to the correctly-spelled article. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 16:55, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I've left you a note at user your talk page at Commons. The fact that the Collegium Augustinianum has been using this image doesn't mean that anyone else is free to use it for any purpose. We need evidence that this was originally released under a free license, and I'm actually concerned that this is not the case. De728631 (talk) 15:40, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Augustinian phenomenology has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Term does not appear in one reference, the other is a book of dubious notability, see Edwin Mellen Press

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Augustinian phenomenology may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
