December 2007[edit]

Please do not post incorrect data to Wikipedia articles as you did to Methanol. Karl Hahn (T) (C) 17:22, 12 December 2007 (UTC) according periodic table of elements that I have, I posted accurate material.[reply]

The existing values for molecular weight are taken from sources such as Merck Index or CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics, where somebody has already computed and checked the values. Your making your own computations based upon element values that you have pulled from sources is prone to error, as happened with methanol. Any value, such as the one you posted, that is near 28, is incorrect. Methanol = CH4O, that's one carbon for 12, one oxygen for 16 and 4 hydrogens for 4 more. That adds up to 32. The existing values (to 2 places beyond the decimal point) are immediately verifiable using standard reference sources. Your sums are not, since one would have to reproduce the time-consuming procedure of summing the isotopic weights of each element of the compound and then adding up the result. Although I may not be the one to do it, I can almost guarantee that all such edits that you make will eventually be reverted. Karl Hahn (T) (C) 19:38, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Californium. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.--I80and (talk) 19:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Rhodium, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Tuvok[T@lk/Improve me] 19:27, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject[edit]

Hi, could you please join the discussion on Wikipedia:WikiProject Chemistry before performing more edits. Though correct, some of your edits are not in accordance with our guidelines (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Chemicals/Style guidelines), or can be done more efficiently. As you can see above from the warnings, not everyone agrees with your edits, and it is therefor probably better to discuss first, as more edits may get you get blocked in the end. Thanks! --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:43, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to User:Voyagerfan5761, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Deli nk (talk) 20:08, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of BARPonline[edit]

A tag has been placed on BARPonline requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
