Proposed deletion of Crisp sandwich[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Crisp sandwich, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

unencyclopedic

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please stop vandalizing Crisp sandwich[edit]

Banner001, please stop vandalizing Crisp sandwich as you have done twice now by removing about a dozen reliable sources and in one case replacing them with a link to a blog/forum. In addition, please do not use misleading edit summaries (such as "Housekeeping, removing bad references" and "Citations removed until after discussion") to pass the vandalism off as legitimate editing. If you want to talk about this, please let me know your concerns. — LinguistAtLarge • Talk  01:38, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References in Crisp sandwich[edit]

Hi Banner001,

First of all, I would like to apologise to you. I admit that the first few times I looked at some of your edits to crisp sandwich, my first inclination was to consider them vandalism, since they were simply across-the-board removal of all references I had added, which I might add, contributed to saving the article from being deleted.

So, please accept my apology for calling you a vandal and failing to assume good faith on your part. I will be more careful in this respect in the future.

I have made some comments on the talk page for crisp sandwich, concerning the references you have removed. I have individually commented on each reference. I think some should be kept and some should be removed. I would really like your input on this, and my goal is for us to be able to come into agreement on this, instead of senselessly editing and reverting the article (and that goes for me too). So I am willing to give some ground and I hope you are too. The bottom line here is I am trying to do what is best for Wikipedia with the goal of producing the best crisp sandwich article possible.

I hope to hear from you soon, Linguist. :)
