Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Newark Police Department (New Jersey), as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Meters (talk) 23:41, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Adding a fake edit summary stating that you have added a citiation is not constructive Meters (talk) 23:43, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Newark Police Department (New Jersey), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. An alumni newsletter is nota reliable source. Find something better or leave it out Meters (talk) 23:52, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And I suggest that you read WP:POV and WP:SYNTH too. If you want to claim that his hiring is what led to the decrease in crime rate then you need to provide a reliable source that says exactly that. Not just that the crime rate went down after he was hired, but that his actions caused the decrease in crime rate. And please stop adding the leading edit summaries. Meters (talk) 23:56, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It should be easy for you to find a reliable source for the hiring. The decrease in crime rate is likely easy to source also. The claim that it was a result of his hiring is likely to be very difficult to reliably source. Meters (talk) 00:01, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you letting me know. Is the information considerable to add? I can find better sources and fix my wording to make more sense.Bannie1026 (talk) 00:43, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
