What do you mean by a source?

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. We record the information that has been written about subjects. To change a genre one needs to support the change by stating where the genre was reported. That source needs to be reliable and the change needs to be notable. You say R&B usually sings about love or break ups; first, what source supports this and secondly, "usually"?...not always?...probably not sufficient for a change.
