May 2013[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Lil-unique1. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Ciara (album) without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 13:16, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I did this because it was Ciara featuring Ciara. It made no sense, so I removed it. Billboard Man (talk) 13:55, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

Hi, I think you had good intentions, and I think it'll be alright, but we generally never ever ever have move requests closed by the person who started them, like you did at [1], especially after they've only even been up for a couple of days. Be careful in the future, alright? Red Slash 15:49, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I'm new here, so give me time to get everything. Billboard Man (talk) 20:08, 29 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Best Song Ever[edit]

Hello Billboard Man,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Best Song Ever for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Nathan2055talk - contribs 01:31, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Books[edit]

If I make a book on Wikipedia and publish it, can I ever come back to it and add more information? Billboard Man (talk) 01:31, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't designed for books. It's supposed to be an encyclopedia.
If you're talking about writing articles, you can always add more information, if the article hasn't been deleted. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 01:58, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

We generally use the single titles for our articles per WP:NC. If you would like to order an exception, put in a request at WP:RM where I will support "Wake Me Up!" as being the title.--Launchballer 07:12, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I created a requested move at Talk:Wake Me Up!#Requested move. Billboard Man (talk) 01:28, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on F for You requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. §haun 23:15, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Billboard Man. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Everything to Me (Shane Filan song), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Whispering 00:14, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
