African immigrant article

I have contributed to your article on African immigrants; specifically where education is concerned. I would like to inform you of a good page that provides statistics and charts that should be positive to the page.

I have considered starting my own African Immigrant article in the past. I am glad that you have started one, and I will continue to contribute in the future.

Ashanti article

Your questions

As to leaving a message, I did receive it. Generally a message should be left for a user on their talk page rather than user page (just click the "Discussion" link after clicking on the user, or the "Talk" link in the parentheses after their names.) I moved it over to that page, no big deal. :) Also you generally should sign your comments by using four tildes (~~~~) after them.

Ashanti Confederacy

Please stop redirecting this page to a different one. You're wiping out a perfectly good African article. Rusty2005 08:03, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi there Blamboom, sorry about the earlier message, seems to have been some confusion.

I've had a look at the Ashanti article and yes you're perfectly right, it does summarise what I wrote. It looks like we got off on the wrong foot, so please accept my apologies! Right, let's see if we can work together on this.

I studied West African history at Cambridge, and I run three international development projects in Ghana and Cameroon, so I'm pretty well-informed about the topic. Allow me to say Akwaaba (yes, I know West Africa too), and I hope we can collaborate on these articles!

Seems that the best thing we can do for starters is to erase the Ashanti Confederacy page and see if we can redirect relevant searches to the Ashanti page. I'm not sure how we go about doing that but I'm sure we can find out how.

I'm currently writing a new article for the Ashanti Confederacy page on MS Word, I haven't uploaded it yet as I'm still in the process of writing it, so how's about I give you a preview when I've written it and we can work on editing it to a mutually-acceptable copy to slot into the Ashanti article?

I see you have serious issues with the "Snot-nosed Brits". I didn't choose the country I was born in any more than you did, so don't hold it against me. And for future reference, please don't get cocky and try and get one up on me, eg: "I'm sure you don't know what that means, its a word the Ashantis use...how do I know? because I've researched.". You're not the only person on the planet who knows about Asante history, you know.

But anyways, let's put that all aside. Let's see if we can bury the hatchet, and work together to get some first-class Asante articles for Wikipedia  :)

Hello again kofi, I just had a quick look through the previous edits you made to my page, particularly a paragraph you wrote then deleted (feel free to do the same with this section here). You say I'm not that bad, and I think the same about you. As you say, our career goals are similar, we both want to do the same thing. Pre Christian Broom Jumping

Hi and thanks for adding to the jumping of the broom article. Its really cool u studied at Cambridge. Can you do me the favor of citing the source of that info you added recently (Jumping the Broom in Pre Christian societies). I didn't see a link to it at the bottom of the article and I want to ensure that this topic is beyond reproach.
