Date format[edit]

Hi, in this edit the BOT failed to add the df=y parameter to the template so that the date format is day first to match rest of article. I have corrected this but would be good if the BOT observed the date format of the articles it changes. Keith D (talk) 19:29, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. The bot now respects the explicit date format templates {{Use dmy dates}}, {{Use mdy dates}}, {{Dmy}}, {{Mdy}}. Failing an explicit format template, the bot will infer one from dates present in the article. Failing that, dmy (my bias). The bot writes dates in the preferred format, and correctly set the {{Wayback}}'s |df= and {{WebCite}}'s |dateformat=.

Please let me know if there are other Wikipedia conventions for specifying dates of which I am unaware. Blevintron (talk) 04:06, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
