Football kit design[edit]

From Template:Football kit/doc:

To create a new pattern template follow the examples below. When you have created a new pattern please add it to the list below. Do not create patterns for minor details on a kit, the template is for showing basic team colours. It is not supposed to be an accurate drawing of the kit.

As for your comment about changing Germany, France, Spain... Spain does not need changing, and I have put a request on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football‎ for imrpoved designs for Germany and France as the current templates do not support their current kits, but what is currently in place is too detailed and, to be frank, ugly. Warning[edit]

This looks fishy, to say the least. Consider yourself warned as I'm not gonna tolerate this kind of stuff on my talk page in the future. Now as for your question, (even though normally I won't communicate with trolls and sockpuppets), any major stylistic change, such as the mass removal of prefixes and suffixes from footballers' infoboxes, should first be discussed at WP:FOOTY. Until then it's AC Milan and not Milan. BanRay 19:15, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

National flags[edit]

I'm updating a lot of players at the moment so their stats are updated for the new season. The flag is part of the fb and fbu template. Look it up. I'm trying to make their pages as accurate and as aesthetically pleasing as possible, so please stop hitting undo for no good reason. Thank you. foxtrot (talk) 11:58, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sock-puppetry[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 5 days in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abusing multiple accounts, as confirmed by checkuser evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Blocci. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. – Toon(talk) 22:47, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please seek consensus on the article's talk page before trying to change the previously agreed-upon lede describing his nationality. Edit warring against consensus will lead to you being blocked again, which really isn't what anyone wants. Cheers, – Toon(talk) 01:23, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There's a couple of issues I'd like to discuss with you about A.C. Milan article.
First of all, I think the name in the infobox should be A.C. Milan. I know that in Italy we call them just Milan (yeah, I'm Italian if you are wondering), but this is the English wiki! So it would be better to use the name which is more common to English-speaking people, rather than the one used only in Italy, don't you think?
Secondly, you should note that Paolo Maldini indeed debuted during the 1984–85 season, but only on the 20th of January. Therefore, in my opinion, it's more correct to list 1985 as the date of his debut.

Let me know what you think. — Luxic (talk) 10:42, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A presto. — Luxic (talk) 17:21, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
— Luxic (talk) 18:19, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Mattia Perin for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Mattia Perin, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mattia Perin until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Matthew_hk tc 05:17, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ronaldo[edit]

Hello. Before changing the club names in the Ronaldo article again please discuss it on the talk page. Currently we're using the names that are the most common in the English speaking media. If you disagree with this assessment or the reasoning behind it please discuss it on the talk page first. Thanks.Footballgy (talk) 11:31, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inter[edit]

In English media F.C. Internazionale Milano is referred to as "Inter Milan" or just "Inter". Since this is the English language Wikipedia we should stick with the most commonly used English names. The club is rarely ever referred to as "Internazionale" in English. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 15:41, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

AC Milan infobox parameter[edit]

Hello. I've started a discussion on the talk page for A.C. Milan here concerning which name should be used in the "clubname" parameter. Since we're both on the verge of violating WP:3RR and being blocked for it I suggest we participate in the discussion there and attempt to reach a consensus view. Thanks. Giusto perché tu lo sappia...[edit]

José Mauri[edit]

Ciao, Blocci. — Luxic (talk) 16:27, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Just a quick reminder, we in fact don't "use official sources on Wikipedia", we use reliable sources, preferably second-party sources. Your intention might have been correct regarding the removal of numbers for the recent call-up since they were not yet assigned but your reasoning was not. In future, please make sure you communicate clearly why you make such edits and remember, we don't need to hear from FIGC about the numbers, it's enough if a reliable source reports them. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 16:16, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
