License tagging for Image:Ellington-race-car.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ellington-race-car.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot 02:08, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of NASCAR 09[edit]

A tag has been placed on NASCAR 09, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi[edit]

Thanks for your report on WP:LTA about "Felipe Garcia". I've added a few of those pages to my watchlist so I can keep an eye out for the vandal. Good work :)--Urban Rose 00:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grawp socks[edit]

While you are certainly correct that the accounts you reported to WP:SSP are socks of Grawp, SSP can be a slow process, and is generally intended more for cases where the sockpuppetry is more subtle or unclear. If you see a Grawp sock on a spree, please feel free to report them to WP:AIV for quick action to be taken. Thanks and keep up the good work! Seraphimblade Talk to me 14:32, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, you don't, although I wouldn't even waste time tagging Grawp socks. We're already quite familiar with how he works, so tracking the socks that are doing the exact same thing doesn't serve much purpose. Just revert the vandalism, report to AIV for a block, and move on. Seraphimblade Talk to me 15:04, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I tagged them before I got your message and I won't do it again, but I will keep an eye out if he does any more vandalism. Thanks for the help. --Boss Big (talk) 15:12, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NASCAR Driver Lists[edit]

Hello there. Driver lists for NASCAR violate WP:NOT (wiki not an indiscriminate list of information) and WP:GAMETRIVIA item 6 - please don't add them back again. Thanks! Fin© 09:39, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removing the lists violates WP:NOTCENSORED. There is no censorship on Wikipedia, especially concerning video games. --Boss Big (talk) 12:26, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Sorry for the delay, I never knew you replied on your own talk page. Anyway, you seem to have a completely incorrect view of censorship - wikipedia is not censored of "objectionable or offensive" material. A NASCAR driver list most certainly does not fall into this category. I suggest you read the policy itself (and perhaps the censorship article you linked to) to full familiarise yourself with it. Thanks! Fin© 18:09, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. As you can see, we've had this discussion before. Please do not add the driver list to NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona and do not make personal attacks ("deletionist troll") in your edit summaries. Thanks! Fin© 13:45, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I consider removing legitimate content from articles trolling, especially edits with a deletionist tone. I think we can strike a deal here. Keep the driver lists out, but keep the trivia sections in, as in the NASCAR 05: Chase for the Cup, it is important to know that Jeremy Mayfield is absent from the game, or keep the lists in the pages about older games (say Nascar Thunder 2004 and older) but don't add them to articles about newer NASCAR games. --Boss Big (talk) 16:16, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You state in the edit summary that I can revert if I have the game. That's completely irrelevant, policies are policies, regardless of whether the user has experience of subject of the article. Content violating WP:NOT and WP:GAMETRIVIA can not be considered legitimate. Unfortunately, lists/sections of trivia are usually formed with WP:OR with no sources and are violations of WP:TRIVIA. The fact is there shouldn't be lists of drivers or trivia, regardless of whether the article is new or old. If you've got a problem with this, I suggest you bring it up on WT:VG. Thanks! Tagging move-protected pages[edit]

Yo Boss Big, just a quick heads up per this. Could you be a little more careful when adding templates to pages that are move-protected against page-move vandalism rather than move disputes? You seem to have added the wrong template to Anarchism. Regards, Skomorokh 12:37, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
