Hi Brogerso922,

I really liked your idea about writing something about minors and abortion. I think that there are many sources out there that could give you a lot of information on your topic because it is so controversial. Plus, there are legal procedures and law that surround this issue, so I think coming at the topic from a legal standpoint could also be interesting. Have fun choosing a topic!

Hi User:Brogers0922! I am really interested in hearing more about what you mean by Community youth development. I would love to hear more about what specific lens you are thinking of, in terms of individual youth's development within the context of their community or perhaps the development of the concept of youth and what surrounds this social group within various communities? This topic sounds really fascinating but I'd like to hear more about what context you are wishing to explore the topic. After looking at the current wikipedia page for CYD, it is clear more expansion would be very useful to the page. Great start!

You created a clear proposal that gives me a sense of what kinds of information you hope to present in your article. I appreciate your discussion of what resources you have found thus far.

What ideas for research and writing do you have given your observations of other "Youth in" pages from our course? Look at, for example Youth in South Africa and Youth in Nigeria. Also, what do articles on Mongolia have that you can link with or build on? See, for example, Demographics of Mongolia. It looks like ethnic identity might be important to search for information about.

Remember that this is primarily about youth, so that historical context would need to specifically talk about, as you note, youth experiences. Keep searching, and I encourage you to schedule an appointment with both me and with the reference librarians to see what you can find. I also hope you include demographics such as those you mention, but also whether youth are a relatively large or small portion of the population compared with other countries in the region and worldwide.

The correct format for your sources is the Wikipedia format, so you are on the right track there. It is good to see that you have multiple sources for some sections, having multiple sources is very helpful when writing each section. You can create a checklist of items to find information about, some of which you're done with in terms of locating sources. I like your incorporation of rural/urban contrasts and ethnicity. The next steps are:

• Looking at the Mongolian government's, UNICEF's and other global data sources to find basic statistics on youth
• Writing your first draft. I would love for you to get to as close to 2000 words as possible in your first draft, as you are already well on your way.
