In her last name, which syllable gets the stress? I had always heard the commentators stress the middle syllable. Wahkeenah 11:26, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe in Russian the emphasis is on the first syllable, "sloots". Speech varies, so it's bound to be different worldwide. Byxbee 11:45, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Compilations[edit]

Hi, your recent decision to revert an edit to Miriam Yeung on albums caught my eye. I am currently doing revisions on Fiona Sit, another Cantopop artist, and her newest album is also a compilation. So is compilations not allowed or something? I must have missed a policy somewhere. On a side note, I'm very impressed you actually liked the book catcher in the eye, it was the most boring book i've read in my life =/ Dengero 07:09, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MiriamYeung Amusic.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:MiriamYeung Amusic.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:15, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mao Asada‎ →Jumping technique[edit]

Why are you talking about my former edit which had some expression of success rate? I agreed your opinion after that so I discarded this comment at my latest edit.

For triple axel, I didn't make the word 'significant'. I just brought it from ref - 'daily times' which is referred to already by somebody (not me). Did you read this article? Yes, all competitions are significant. I also think that the reporter (not me) might have thought a significant competition as a 'international' competition. Why do I have to specify this word instead of referring to it. I didn't remove her record of 3A, I just corrected the age when she landed it in a significant (international) competition. You may be just unpleasant about my edit which has poor grammer. You can fix my grammer error but not the 'fact'. I can't understand why you're so upset.

For 4T and 4L, The 'fact' is that she was interviewed she had a 'plan' to practice it. If you want to say she is really practicing it now, please bring a source or any written comment of witness. Every skater can tell that he/she "will" practice something by himself/herself. But it can't be what explains their skating skill.

I don't want edit war. I'm trying to distinguish between what is the fact and what is just opinion. Anyway, I will restore my latest edit which I think there are no problems in.

==

1. 'significant' : I brought this word from 'daily times'. Anyway, I agree if you want to change it to 'international'

2. 'Triple axel' : Yes, she "may" have landed it at 12. However, it can't be included her career or her jump technique. Why do you want to add her skills which were done in her 'practice' not in a competition? Just read other skaters' pages. 'In 1988, she became the first woman to land a triple axel in competition.(Ito Midori)', 'Nelidina landed a triple axel in competition at the 2002 Skate America.(Ludmila Nelidina)', 'She made history at the 2002 Skate America, where she became the third female skater to land a triple axel jump.(Nakano Yukari)', and 'In 2005, Meissner became the second American woman to land the triple Axel jump in competition.(Kimmie Meissner)' They never stated when they had landed it for the first time in a practice as their career because nobody cares what they did in a practice. Why do I have to consider Asada as a special case? It's amazing enough that she is the first 'JUNIOR' skater to do it.

3. '4L and 4T' : Here is the comment from newspaper. "Maybe in the summer I will work on the quadruple toe loop or quadruple loop. I tried them in practice before but haven't landed a clean one." You got it? 'Maybe' she will work on the jumps. She tried but never landed it cleanly. That is the point what I want to say. She just talked about her future plan. Who knows she is really practicing it? Please bring a source. 'Plan' is not her real skill and people can misunderstand she can land 4L or 4T. What I really want to do is to remove this comment from jump technique section completely. Do you know why I didn't do that? If she don't bring any kind of quadruple jumps this season, I will put a comment that she wears skate shoes on her tongue rather than on foot.

4. I appreciate your painful editing this article as one of wiki users. I understand your confidence as one of serious wiki editor. I'm trying not to damage your works and I'm doing my best.

5. Sorry for poor english again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Monorete (talkcontribs) 03:49, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Kim Yu-Na. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Wiest1989

Right. Like the warnings you got from other editors stopped you before.

You're laughable.

Non-free rationale for File:NGUtokyopop.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NGUtokyopop.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
